Season Pass, Online Pass, Loot Box, DLC and pre order DLC. Which is worst?

Really the worst in the world

I would say loot boxes, mostly just the ones that you can buy with real world money though.

Loot boxes are the new cancer in gaming. I hate the other ones too but loot boxes are just absolutely horrible.

Loot Box is by far the worst thing to ever happen in video games. It exploits the weak minded gamers into spending money but the rest like Season Pass/DLC, it's always been optional. Online Pass was last-gen and Publishers did that to prevent anyone buying there games used and locking out anyone from playing there online games.

Loot boxes prey on people with no self-control and tries to bring up this generation of kids as gambling as the norm, it's scummy as **** and I will ill on whoever implements them.

Definitely loot boxes. Legal gambling designed mainly for taking money from children.

Season passes. It’s basically preordering dlc that you know nothing about or even whether it will exist, and limits it to content produced within a limited time.

Don’t see the problem with loot boxes limited to cosmetics or in-game currency. Would never buy those myself but won’t get mad if the option is there for those with more money than patience.

Online Pass was the worst last gen. It is why EA and Ubisoft thankfully gave up on that horrible idea this gen.

It makes more sense to let people buy your game used, them play online and then attempt to extort the gamer with DLC, micro transactions and loot boxes like they do this gen.

I honestly like dlc when done properly.

Oblivion added a huge huge map and lots of extras and that were just amazing and the prices felt just right for the work they placed into those amazing dlc. There were bad dlc too (in price I mean like horse armour) but it was absolutly optional so ita fine by me.

Now Im a gears of war fan. But the most part of maps are dlc so to play online with frends that got them maps you feel forced to buy those dlc (and again... not enough maps in base game). But I also bought gears 4 season pass since I love the game and it has lots of extra content (still feels they could have added some of those content to the base game but its not that bad)

Now ea sports and some other publishers charge huge prices for full game (selling small parts at full price each?)

Oops, forgot MS is using most of those things now.

I'll buy you a Forza 7 loot box to feel better.

That would be great except I don't play racing games on consoles.
