Samurai Spriits- Anime hero, objectified woman, multiple swords for no reason

Another trailer showing the roster of characters. The vast majority, returning, as it is something of a reboot. Interestingly they still seem to be re-tittling it for the West. PC/Switch delayed until winter.

I've never played anything from the series before, but I might try this one out. Looks cool.

Its a fighting game albeit a sword based fighting game. like any other fighting games. it may get boring because they lack variety.

I played this game on snes a few times before. I remember choosing the coughing weak looking guy with katana/long sword.

Hope MP takes off, KOF14 was dead.

Mortal Kombat II will be far more popular, but I have very little doubt this will be a better game mechanically.

Really with they'd wake up and make crossplay standard. When you have such a tiny community online, segmenting it for each platform is detrimental to both the player and the company imo.

It looks ok, but it just looks like another Samurai Showdown game. Nothing really stands out about it to me. (I have played all of the games in the series)

But none of them were 3D and the series hasn't been around for 10+ years, with the last one being terrible.

If it was a Call Of Duty or Assassins Creed situation where they were just spamming the shit out of the series, I'd maybe agree with the comment, but given how the series with perceived as lost na.

FPS has always been best genre in every generation.

you wont find a game as immersive as STALKER in last gen, or a game that is as fun and badass as Doom this gen. but i respect your opinion my friend.

I've never seen Mortal Kombat as a "real fighting game". It's fun mostly because it's gory. Samurai Shodown looks way better mechanically, no question about it. Looking at vids I like how old school vibe it has.

And yes, agree with crossplay. Hell, crossplay for all multiplatform games ever going forward would be sweet.

I can see that. I guess I just kind of wish that they would just let some series end so we can just keep the memories of what was. Not every game needs to be resurrected. I'm sure some people will enjoy it, I just think that if I play the game it will not live up to my nostalgia for part 2 in the arcades.

They kind of did and replaced it with The Last Blade, but then that became forgotten and now we've came full circle.

No one makes fighting games and hack n slash like Japan does.
