Saints Row - Play As A Resetera. Punish those who defy the pronoun

Ignoring how arseholly the "new characters" come across, and general tone, it does gameplay wise just kinda look like more of the same to me , but toned down from 3.

From the trailer seems to be using a similar system to Vice City where buy up properties, my brain is shit so can't remember if this was in prev games.

Overall, looks very underwhelming and outdated, yes?

Can just boot up 3 or 2 when it's (eventually) fixed on PC.

Always enjoyed town/base building management aspects in games so it does appeals to me. But probably will only picks it up when it goes on sale for $10 on PSN or somewhere.

This was not a problem I had with Saints Row 3.

When the studio said they were getting rid of the crude humor and such, I also didn't like the fact they said the original Saints Row was a product of its time and doesn't fit with them today's standard, they lost my respect and will NOT buy this version at all!

Nothing excites me more than virtue signalling from a large dev. Its just so exciting, guys. I wish Fromsoft began some virtue signalling, it would add so much depth to their games.

I still hate the characters. For years we begged Volition to make a proper sequel to Saints Row 1 and 2 since Saints Row 3 and 4 was so different, but nope we got douchy hipsters instead.

There is a longer video that shows the gameplay but it looks so boring.

Seriously just give us a proper Saints Row game again. I'm really hoping that the Grand Theft Auto remasters will be good.

You mean it looks VERY Ubisoft/Watch Dogs 2+Legion. You slap an Ubi logo on the boxart and this is exactly what i would've expected from them.

What was wrong with the first one allegedly? I tried playing one of the Saints Row games on 360 but the motion blur and bloom effects gave me massive headaches after the first 10 minutes and I haven't played one since.

Looks fine to me, if a bit dated. I especially liked the port-a-loo wrecking ball sequence in the Game Informer video - that's quintessential Saints Row.

Then again, Saints Row is all about cathartic sandbox fucking around fun, just like GTA before 4 turned that series into overly self-serious time sink. It doesn't need to be anything more than that.

Man Volition really turned it's back on their fanbase nobody asked for this hipster reboot garbage hopefully the sales are bad and this kills the studio. Maybe that seems harsh but for them to go out of their way this much and turn on the fanbase and the series they deserve it.

That gameplay doesn't look bad in this footage, but I still can't get over the Saints looking like a bunch of fashion students. Especially Eli. I took one look at him and could not stop laughing. He's the polar opposite of gangsta. I don't understand why the Saints of all people have to be so zoomer.
