Ryse-PC gameplay footage at 4K (off cam though :-( )

I wonder how long until shadowplay allows 4k capture. Its killing me inside. I would get a dedicated capture card but it seems the 4k resolution ones are like 600+ dollars and every other program just rails on my frame rate.

Lol what's the point of a video of something in 4k, in lower res AND off cam? Is it just to prove that the possibility is there? :s

Looks amazing, but I just don't give into games that don't have solid story and gameplay.

Graphics are not number 1 in my eyes.

Not long after high-end Maxwell arrives. NV will probably make the 4K option exclusive to those cards.

And, I'd honestly prefer 1440p over 4k for the presentation, but I can't blame them for wanting to show off it's best side. It's just that 1440p would still be a nice res and closer to what gamers would actually be playing it at.

That framerate is CRAZY! It's like a better looking version of the XB1 game in fast-forward. After seeing that I don't want to go back to the console version. Who am I kidding? I haven't played that game in months.

There were people wanting the port to PC 0_o I thought it was due to financial issues that they ported to the PC.

I'm glad Ryse is coming to PC for those that are really interested in it, but I'm in no hurry to play it, especially not when it's full price. This is a $5 Steam Sale game if I ever saw one.

This is going to be the game that every other game is held against for graphics.

Based on that video, I'd say crysis 3 looks better overall.

I especially noticed how bad the water looked in comparison, even in off screen footage.

This is actually a huge problem. PC piracy in general isn't bad. If a game is decent, it'll generate some great sales.

However, when you have shit games with FPS locks (DR3) or Uplay bullshit (Watch Dogs), no self respecting PC gamer would want to give 60 dollars to Ubisoft or Microsoft to get fucked in the ass by their bullshit. This, in turn, makes the big corps think its PC piracy ruining sales, not their shit games (implying the gamers who pirated DR3 would buy it if they couldn't pirate it), leading them to tighten the restrictions in UPlay and Origin, fucking over honest gamers, who choose to do the right thing and put up with UPlay, while encouraging pirates even more.

Yeah , the whole video was full of PR bullshit . At least , we'll have something new to benchmark our hardwares until Witcher 3 comes out . Then it'll be Unreal Tournament and Star Citizen .

Sure have. Expo last year. It was like dialling a telephone then putting the receiver to my ear so I could listen to Cevat Yerli tell me sweet lies.

Crytek use to have the cliche line used by detractors of Crysis being a "tech demo" when it fact it was one of the best FPS in the 2000's.

Now, basically the only fucking reason to pick this up, is for benchmarks. And not much else.

On a side note though, I wouldn't see how this would bother me as a player. I haven't given up to hype for well over 4 years.
