A: He was a reviewer on this site, and thus had some influence on our metagames years ago
B: He's ex gamespot, giantbomb is awesome, and this kind of shit sucks.

I've been listening to him and the Giant Bomb crew for years now. I loved how he kept the podcast rolling by getting the other guys and guests to talk. He seemed like a guy you'd want to have a beer with.
