Rumor: Spyro trilogy remake confirmed

To be announced March 2018 with a 2018 Q3 release (September), developed by Vicarious Visions, the same guys behind the Crash remakes, for the PS4.

Seems a little soon for these guys to already be pumping out three more games but maybe they were working on Crash and Spyro simultaneously the last several years.

Please let this be real. Spyro was probably my favorite platformer back in the day on PlayStation. Day 1 buy if true and after Crash N. Sane Trilogy remaster, it's the best time for a move like that.

I'm down. I mean I still haven't finished the Crash trilogy remaster, but I'll still buy Spyro aha.

@ghosts4ever: This is Activision stuff. Nothing to do with Sony and Activision also owns Crash which is why they gave us Crash remaster trilogy in the first place. Not to mention, Crash trilogy is also coming to other systems.

I hope this is true, always wanted to play Spyro.

This has me way more interested than Crash Bandicoot, which honestly wasn't as good as proper 3d platformers.

I guess I'll make an exception and buy one lootbox driven econo... Activision game.

Easier said then done. Were talking about a Spyro game that was on PlayStation decades ago. No way we could get that game running into current consoles. This is a remake then a remaster really.

I never owned the Spyro games back in the day but borrowed from friends frequently. This on Switch would be a dream come true.

All the sony fanboys yell that Xbox has no games. The Xbox fanboys can yell that Playstation only has old remake games. lol

All for a good remaster.... but this series was trash. I recall my lil bro loving it, but I could never understand why tho.

@loganx77: Agreed. You can tell that a lot of work went into the remakes like Shadow of the Colossus, Ratchet & Clank, and The Crash Bandicoot N' Sane Trilogy. I'm fine with it as long it's a full blown remake. I still have numerous titles that I'd like to see remade this gen tbh

I will probably get this. To this day I will fire up the ol PS1 for Spyro, so I'd probably get a lot of enjoyment out of a remake.

I never liked Spyro as much as Crash Bandicoot, so I probably won't get this. I would have preffered a Crash Team Racing and Crash Bash remake.

Since classic 3D platformers are getting remakes, it would be great if Microsoft released a Banjo-Kazooie and Tooie remake as well.

Those complaining about it just being nostalgia and whining about remakes.

You do realize not everyone was alive to play Spyro 20 years ago? Its like you think life stopped reproducing and everyone was around for your childhood.

Gaming is shit today its good to see new generations being able to play classics we grew up with.

Can't wait for this. Crash is great but the Spyro games were even better imo.
