Wanna know why the PSP only has one analog? It stuck the second between the 2 screens. Big mistake.

It's doing as good as it always has. What made you decide that it's dying now? With games like GOW coming out, and it's functionality with the PS3, it'll be fine.

It's doing fine. Selling millions. Some decent games. It was hyped to death though, but didn't meet expectations.

You only think it's dying because you compare it to the DS. If you compare anything with the DS the conclusion would be the same.

It's dying...slowly. Noticed that it's selling less and less every month, and it has no new movies coming out on it or thatm much games. It is dying, just really slow.

The PSP had potential. Too bad no company bothered to actually take advantage of it. Then, Sony just up and abandoned it. I only have sport games on mine...

PSP isn't going to beat the DS, but it isn't going anywhere any time soon.
Relatively strong sales and a possible redesign coming up at a new low price? Sounds like there's a future for it just yet.

Sheep need to give it a rest. PSP did not beat DS but it's still a successful system, and now Sony is in the handheld market to stay. DS did not "annhilate" PSP, or else PSP would not be outselling Xbox 360.

And the PS2, PS3, GBA and GC.

33% market penetration is awesome getting into a Nintendo dominated market.

Microsoft even said 5% market penetration with its Zune on the iPod dominated market was good.

Not the same thing. In gaming there's diversification. Company A offers games Company B doesn't and vice versa.
In the MP3 player market, no such diversity exists. They're gadgets and they play music. No reason to pick Company A over Company B, or vice versa, except for brandname status. Entirely different market dynamics than the handheld gaming market.

Just a thought from your resident economist.

Lol, with the iPod doing absolutely nothing and Zune and Creative Zen breaking out new ideas, there is a diversification. Not like PSP vs DS but there are huge differences.

They ran out of room. They barely had room for the square button because the system is so packed.

Actually if you read the NPD report, PSP sales have been rising slowly.

I say the PSP has 54 AA's whereas the DS only has 24. We all know the PSP has better games, yet sheep all they can talk about is sales.

It's not a bad device... it just appeals to sort of a niche market, meaning it won't sell as well.

Well the 360 would be a failure then. That would be the only logic.

Sales are increasing, it is selling more than 360 monthly, and has long since passed Xbox and Gamecube's total sales. It's doing fine, just not taking over the handheld market.

I bought one of those batteries but it turned out to be defective as it dies off after 3 hours : /

On Topic: The USA is the PSP's life as its the only place PSP is selling just below decent.
