Anyone else think that? I mean most shooters either have no story or a real horrible one sometimes one that doesn't even make sense. The Resistance Series at least has a story that makes sense and is about to get what a lot of critics are calling an incredibly tragic tale.

Maybe the story is good, but it's delivery is just incredibly poor. While Fall of Man was certainly better, R2 completely fell apart in that department.

Luckily, Retribution seems like it's going to deliver a good enough story to keep up with the action.

The story was better than most games but still hardly worth paying attention to.

I enjoyed the mystery behind R:FOM's story. Haven't had a chance to check out R2 yet so I don't know about that.

lolrly?

The main character dude says about five words in the whole of the first game. The character development was probably the worst part of the story.

Yeah I agree, the story is above average, and while it isn't on the level of bioshock and certainly not MGS, it at least makes sense, which is what a lot of games can't seem to do. But I don't know, I think its the presentation, I just can't seem to care about it despite how I wanted to.

It could have had a great story. Srsly, alot of Chimera come so there is no WWII, most of europe has fallen, and in the end of R2 *SPOILER* Nathan Hale gets shot in the head. The only crappy part of this is that Hale barely talks. This game was mostly meant for its multiplayer content, not its singleplayer.

I thought it was a pretty average, generic excuse to shoot aliens. I'm fine with that.

I think it's not really underrated, seeing as though that story is very common.

Aliens attack, one man steps up and kills everything.

Halo? Killzone? Gears of War? Cloverfield? And so on.

I liked the story better than most games. It was very dark and serious. Not as much cheese and juvenile humor as a lot of games, MSG4, Geow2, Halo, KZ2.

Resistance's writing just sucked hard, and the manner it was presented in was terrible too. Really, co-op is the only fun I had with the game, but that was a blast... For awhile.

(IMO)

Same here. It gave me a lot of information and still kept me asking questions. The twisted history trailer showed how much Insomniac had fleshed out the universe. Quite impressive.
