I meme people who pre order as well, but on pc, there's a reason. For example, if you were to pre order this game a week or more from cdkey, you get a 33% off on the pc version, which is what i got and the reason i pre ordered. If you're on consoles and pre order in 2021, then something i dead wrong with you 😱

Don't know about Lamprey's reasons but for me. I like the idea of pre-downloads and not waiting for hours of loading time when the game release goes live, pre-downloads is the reason why I still preorder games but I only preorder games I fully know I'll play and enjoy thus wanna play it right away. I'm speaking of digital gaming mind you, I just stop caring for physical games but I still buy physical games for Nintendo Switch and even when I do preorder, it can take a long time for my game to arrive when I buy'em on Amazon. Preordering RE8 for PC was a no brainier just for the pre-download.
Edit: Only preorder "if" you know what game you are going to play & enjoy. And unless you wanna do it for simple DLC, that's a different story.
@sleepnsurf: I got it digitally, which gave me benefit of being pre-installed, plus if I needed to it isn't a big hassle to get a refund provided I limit time I have played and do it within a certain amount of time. And like I said, RE games are pretty obligatory for me.
A RE game which got Vampires , Werewolves , Mummies, Mutants. And in FPS. My my ... i so badly want to play it , but can't afford full price games anymore *Cry*

Why is it that every time a new game is reviewed and there's discussion on it, there's the few like you always sitting on a high chair proclaiming "who gives a shit about reviews?"
Irony would serve that people like you do give a shit, because if you didn't then you wouldn't bother poking into threads like this making pompous statements. Why put so much stock into making rudimentary points like this? Think for yourself and avoid reviews discussion threads if they're not your style.
There's no use or advantage in being that guy that complains about the things you're guilty of. Yesterday we just had a major meltdown by user complaining about "crap talk" here while being the biggest crap talker of all. No point in being that guy.
@davillain-: Here in Ontario it’s essentials only until May 20th. I’m not sure what the other provinces are currently doing though. It sure sucks though because I have other things I need to buy that don’t fall under “essentials”.
@eoten: Kind of hard to “think for yourself” about a game that isn’t available for people to actually play through yet. If I’m really looking forward to a game seeing it getting really good reviews from most places is a very positive sign for me. On the flip side seeing a game getting really poor reviews will be a cause of concern for me. Ultimately I’m still going to have to play through a game to know how I feel about a game but I’m not an island unto myself so I’m going to have to use outside resources to determine if a game is of enough interest to me to want to play it. Reviews a simply one of those available resources to use.
While everyone will be playing this 9/10 game, the sheep are stuck with their Pokemon App game, in which you take pictures and tell yourself that its enjoyable.

Because there are actually people who do not give a shit about reviews. Many reviews are paid for, others are screwed in other ways and at the end of the day basing your own opinions on someone else's is ridiculous.
@hardwenzen: I think most of the Switch owners here also got capable PC or are manticores.I mean to say they enjoy best of both worlds lol.
On here? Yes, maybe... probably, but not all, and those who don't have a pc, they will never tell you because they're worried of being memed on. Outside of SW, there's plenty of Switch only owners, and Pokemon App is their biggest game of 2021, which is comical to say the least 😆
