Resident Evil 0, 1 and 4 get Nintendo Switch release dates

Resident Evil is a series where you play at attractive people shooting monsters. The game typically ends with a countdown and final form. These games are coming the Switch. A very weak console that can't run RE7 and RE2.

Oddly, RE5 is missing along with the original 3 entries.

Resident Evil 0, 1 and 4 get Nintendo Switch release dates

sident Evil fans, you'll want to mark 21st May on the calendar - that's when three of the series' finest games arrive on Nintendo Switch.

Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil 1 and Resident Evil 4 will be available to download then from the Switch eShop.

Pre-orders open on 28th February. There's no word yet on pricing, or physical editions.

All three games have something of a history with Nintendo consoles. Resident Evil 0 and 4 launched first for Nintendo GameCube, back during the days of Capcom's close partnership with Nintendo that also resulted in cult classics Viewtiful Joe and PN03.

And it was also the GameCube which got the Resident Evil 1 Remake that all future versions of the game have been built off of. It only seems fit the three will launch on Switch now.

Pass. I bought them for the last time on PS4 as they released.

Cool. I wouldn’t mind picking these games up again on the Switch but I’ll wait and see if they will bring out a physical version first.

I'd be interested in getting them again, but Capcom will probably be cheap and make them digital only and half ass them.

I’ve never been that into the release of old games, but with the Switch, the portability is a game changer. I’m far more likely to play these games on Switch than I am on consoles or PC.

I haven't purchased a copy of Resident Evil 4 since it originally released on GameCube. I'm thinking now is the time to play through it again.

I predict ten years from now, gamers will still say the same thing, but this time games from different systems.

Ive never played them, I played 4 briefly on GameCube, I might get 4 on switch as something to play in portable. I have the 1st one on ps4 it was free one month, but I never get around to trying it, have too much backlog on ps4 as is

All games that originally came out on a Nintendo system before they got ported on everything.

I already have them on PC, but they're nice for th "on-the-go" aspect. I won't be buying them, as I have them on PC.

Any word on motion controls being included like the Revelations games had?

?‍♂️Switch a top console for surviving horror game. Have people known it can be power by Antler Powerbank? In a spring time we think of the idea to get this series for switch. With a low power projector it can be display with portable power all inside of the tent in a woods.?‍♂️

Good news, if you have the PC version the Steam Controllers Gyro can act as a motion controller.

I've never played Resident Evil 4, er, rather I've never played any RE except RE4...

I can't say I know what I'm miissing exactly.

The others are tight corridors where you manage resources. Aside from a few basic elements they are quite different

0 has a tag mechanic as well where you play two characters.

Does anyone remember the cool controller that came with it on GC. I wanted one so bad. Loved 4 will pick it up agian.

After RE2 remake, they should really re-remake the original Resident Evil. The Gamecube remake and 0 is dated are f$%^. This will be like the 6th platform to get ports of these games now...

Not that I'm complaining, these were my most wanted PS2 remasters back when they did them on PS3... and we finally got them. But now it's time to stop milking LOL.

OT, apparently RE4 and REmake will only be available by download (at least according to Era). That pretty much stops me from this purchase .

Oh come on now. The new Yoshi in March. The last Direct mentions quite a few new titles coming out. Every console gets filler titles and ports. I don't think anyone ever singled out Nintendo for being special and not getting them.

Heck, this is that third party support that they so desperately need. And yeah, it starts with ports, but then gets better. Look at how they're also getting MK11 day and date along with Doom Eternal. That's a huge improvement over past Nintendo consoles.

I wish Capcom would port RE1-3 and CV on Steam (or any platform tbh)

@Bread_or_Decide: this is not third party they need. They need actual new multiplats like devil may cry and resident evil and kingdom hearts. Not games from generations ago. It’s not enough.
