Dean Takahashi - I said critics have said that the game play of the Wii is limited and its novelty may wear off. He said...

Reggie - "I wonder if they saw Zelda? It has 90 hours of game play."

Shtinky

Yeah, it has 90 hours of gameplay...IF YOUR 5 YEARS OLD.

Anybody else, DOING all the sidequests can beat it in 40-50 hours.

If you are a ZELDA Fan, even shorter.

Just to beat the game, you are looking at about 20-30- hours.

I can See Reggie, who isn't a hardcore Gamer, taking 90 hours + though...

I spent around 80 hours with the game.  So it's not unreasonable to expect that some could get 90 hours out of it.

I beat the game in 63 hours, with only three heart pieces left to find, close to 40/60 poes, and 18/24 bugs. I can guarantee you, it does not have 90 hours of gameplay. It's still long as hell, and a great game, but 90 hours? Close, but not quite.

yea that sounds about right, I beat it at 35 hr.

And I still need 15 more heart pieces, a good few more golden bugs, 30 more Poes and the rest of the fish.

Only if you try to get 100% without a walkthrough.  Some heart pieces might take you a while to find.

Too bad you have to count multiplayer just because Zelda doesn't have it. If your idea of fun is collecting all the little bittie things in LoZ, then have at it I find no use having a bigger wallet when I can complete the game without it.

Yes I know, that doesn't mean it shouldn't be excluded, its part of the game, plus your only 100% done with Gears when you unlock all achievements including the 10,000 kill achievement which takes probably about a year at average play.

You do have a point. Even the quickest of games can clock hundreds of hours if you get every thing, which includes achievements.

The achievement part is BS. Its just something you can show off to other people, it has nothing to do with finishing the game.

That seems possible, there are tons of things to find and side-quests, ect, i wouldn't be surprised if it was longer than that. Me personally finished it in about 40 hours and finished only 1 side-quest.

Sorry but comparing a multiplayer game to a strictly single player game is like comparing apples to oranges, especially if you are going by a game's worth.

It took me 50 hours with barely any sidequests to complete it the first time around. 90 hours is a longshot but maybe it would take that long for an inexperienced gamer to get 100% on their first play-through.

It's like comparing a game with a game. If a game choses not to have multiplayer for various reasons, then that's fine. That was a choice the developer went with. If a game developer wants to incorporate multiplayer so that the game has a longer lasting appeal for some people, that's up to the developer.

He's right. The main quest will take 30 - 60 hours but if you try to find and unlock everything you can use 90 hours on Zelda. I have played the game for 75 hours and i finished the main quest a long time ago. Im now exploring everything looking for stuff. The poll is so biased! Where is the "He is right" option?

I played the main quest and some side-quests for 50 hours. If you look for every treasure, every piece of heart, look for everything, it'll probably take you 70-80 hours.

The Zelda game developers took the time to hide these things as part of the game. The 10k kill achievement is not a hidden thing to discover and is just some number thrown in there to play around with. Big difference.

zelda took me 47 hours and no game overs and im good at zeldas. if someone says they beat the first time in under 35 hours theyre lieing. the dungeons alone toke that long pretty much. i havent done all the side quests and stuff yet (like 80% of them i have done) and im sure it will take at least 54 hours to beat. but 90 hours is ridiculous. and your poll is so negative is isnt worth a vote. he was like part of marketing, its not his job to be hardcore like us. i can think of numerous times when other company representatives amde an ass out of themselves. its nothing new

The achievement part is BS. Its just something you can show off to other people, it has nothing to do with finishing the game.

No it's not its part of the game, why should it be excluded? Because Zelda doesn't have it? I don't think so, all I'm trying to prove here is that Any simple multiplayer game on Xbox 360 can last longer then your "90 hour " Zelda game.

Its not added content. Its just playing the same stuff over and over. Its the same as setting personal goals for games. The only difference is that with one you get to show it to other people on your gamercard.

t's like comparing a game with a game. If a game choses not to have multiplayer for various reasons, then that's fine. That was a choice the developer went with. If a game developer wants to incorporate multiplayer so that the game has a longer lasting appeal for some people, that's up to the developer.Chubnasty

You're talking as if a game like Zelda should have multiplayer to begin with. The truth is that multiplayer and single player games are both developed, played and paced differently thus cannot compare. Notice how most multiplayer games tend to be very short on single player while single player games lack multiplayer? Either you go with one or the other expecting different things.

If you play it 2-3 times then yeah you'll have put 90 hours into it.  Some people finish a game and never touch it again.  Some people play a game a few times, such is the mirical of replay value.
