Looking great.
glad that its story driven game.
Prob should have really just shown off gameplay from the start rather than that terrible CGI trailer.
Do have a feeling this is gonna flop.

Did any of the Arkane games ever become a hit? Then again, they probably also didn't have bloated budgets with performance capture and hollywood actors since they always go for stylized graphics over realism.
Either way, they definitely have a problem properly marketing their games.

Arkane are only AAA developer who try something new and making new ips after new ips. Yes Prey was also new IP.
both Prey and Deathloop were masterpieces. this one seem less but still looking great.
Flop? Probably not since it's on gamepass, but I doubt it will make a lot of money beyond that. It is looking like one of those games that comes and everyone stops talking about a couple days after release. Either way since it is going to be on gamepass I'll at least give it a fair chance with a couple friends. It's not hard at all to see they took some major ques from Fortnite, but since I actually like the campaign on that game this might not be so bad. I'd love for it to prove me wrong.
LOL. That damage control from the developer. I love how they have to release a trailer with big text saying that it is a story driven shooter. It is hilarious.
Anyway, it still does not look very good. It looks like Arkane's worst game. It lacks the character and atmosphere from their previous games. Disappointing for a studio of their pedigree.
Despite all the lackluster Redfall is getting, I'm still interested in playing the game as it's been a long time since we have seen any Vampires in the gaming world so this game has piqued my interest.
(For a premise that involves Vampires, I'm surprised Arkane could get Morbius into this game just for the hell of it😏)
I have become much more interested in this game then I was when it was initially revealed. Will definitely give it a go when it launches. Thank you Game Pass. 😎
Looks kinda generic imo, arkane really need a new engine as well this looks really dated graphically.

All the lackluster?
To me in looks nothing more than a generic co op shooter not for me.
Its not even a coop shooter.
and there's nothing generic about it.

Vampyr was released not long ago and V Rising, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhunt, Swansong are recent releases. Got to pay attention amigo.
caustically optimistic
Haha, that is a great turn of phrase 👍
Like I've said before, a grounded, gritty vampire hunting game in the vein of John Carpenter's Vampires could be awesome. Too bad this neon glitter bomb looks about as far from that as possible. No thanks
@ghosts4ever: just another arkane shooter.
LOL every Arkane shooter is vastly different than others.
Maybe I'm not seeing what everyone else is seeing I was underwhelmed by the showcase.
Arkane never make bad games.
LOL people hating on Arkane.
Game looks solid and on GP. Can’t wait.
We are hating on the game. I Iike Arkane's previous games. This game looks like it is slapped together. Very generic looking and it doesn't look like a cool fleshed out world like in the Dishonored series. It looks like Left 4 Dead or Back 4 Blood, even though it is a 'story driven shooter'.

For sure, as BassMan mentioned above they are straight up spelling it out in BOLD LETTERS to try get it across.
Would argue Arkane games are inherently difficult to market. But they have really done themselves no favours with that initial trailer.
Arkane feels like a indie dev you see on Steam getting pumped with AAA money.

Like I said.
Also you have some serious abilities to tell so much about a game from a 4 minute walk through and trailer.
Either way looking forward to the game.
Looks like an Indie that began on Kickstarter. But what you expect if its made for a service that offers GP ultimate for $1 for 3 months? Typical shovelware from Microsoft.
If you want high quality production titles, you play Sony exclusives.
At this point, Sony exclusives are like a high end restaurant, and Microsoft/gp titles are like a no name fast food hole you found on a corner somewhere. The gap between the two becomes incredibly large, and with GoW2, it will show our local lemmings what's possible when your game is not built for a $1 subscription service on desperation mode.

Are you referring to those top tier Sony bangers like Fat Princess, Destruction All-Stars, Concrete Genie, Knack, and Five Club?
@hardwenzen: GOW 2018 is one of the worst game I have ever played. Worse than movie games it was. Walking in straight line.
Sony exclusive being exposed by releasing on PC badly.

Fat Princess? Are we in 1977?

You don't like good games, and that's fine. Stop hyping my Callisto.

No, we are in The Blur: 1886. Another Sony banger. LOL
That text in the trailer saying that it is single player focused in the trailer is a little off putting. Is this the devs preparing for a situation where people play it for a few days and then forget about it?
Prob should have really just shown off gameplay from the start rather than that terrible CGI trailer.

I doubt it will 'flop' since a ton of people will be able to try it risk free, but I think it may fall off faster than Halo Infinite.

Vampyr was release last-gen and V Rising, Vampire: The Masquerade is an old game to say the least. I'm talking about new Vampire stuff and at least Redfall is doing something interesting.
Thanks for the reminder as I been meaning to pick up Vampyr on Steam.
@davillain: Vampire: The Masquerade is an IP with multiple games. You are thinking of the old game Bloodlines which they are making a sequel. Bloodhunt and Swansong are new Vampire: The Masquerade games that were recently released.
Oops. You are right, I was thinking of the oldie Bloodlines and I honestly never played them lol.
Probably another game that's just too good for its own sake. I'm not a fan of vampires and shit like that, but if there's a developer I trust is them.

theyre not good at this stuff. i remember after several attempts to market deathloop they gave up traditional game trailers and just had the chief game designer explain how it worked
It's arkane.....it's good!
Obviously it will get a little extra hate because...
It's...
NOT ON PLAYSTATION

it is a turn off. the sort of tone and atmosphere from d1 couldve been such a good fit for the vampire concept in redfall
