Your original comment didn't indicate anything about only studios prior to the start of this gen.

The Coalition and Playground Games are their only proven competent studios for releasing technically solid games at launch. Almost every other studio they've acquired or partnered with in the past had bad launches, with some of them not improving after launch or way too late afterward.

@Pedro: You highlighted what I meant "in the past" which usually refers to before now, unless you gonna tell me that all the studios Microsoft has acquired in recent years all have partnered with Microsoft for Xbox exclusives before they got acquired and didn't have bad launches.

Once they get into the ecosystem they start to realize there was never any ambition from the parent company to ever create truly great games and they either abandon the platform, or they cope with it by lashing out at it's primary competitor Sony for being better at delivering they type of games dreamed xbox would have.
