This is horrible news for Xbox. After the delays, they couldn’t get this thing running at 60fps by the launch date and claim they’ll have to fix it later. I don’t get it. Absolutely unacceptable and I was gonna play this too. I’ll wait until it’s patched. If they don’t patch it, I’m not playing it.

Putting a new IP that’s had “meh” reception to this point, that was just announced to launch with “Quality mode“ only, between Star Wars and Zelda is asking for the game to be skipped/missed by the masses. Social media is already full of, “well I’m just gonna wait for 60fps to play it.” Just delay the game… (again)

its been a slow start in 2023 from sony and xbox. psvr2 been keeping me busy. psvr2 is fun as hell sorry. my psvr1 started to get dated. I love vr.

PS5 games have had patches after launch adding 60 fps, even after delayed launches.

Oh good grief. You can't even get a Series X-only performance mode? There's nothing graphically about the game that suggests it needs to benefit from a quality mode. I guess it's too late to delay it. You really have to play this on PC to get the best experience (hopefully).

I found my new Halo Infinite, and with the low effort failure by microsoft, it only took a bit over a year to find.

And this is why PC is the way to go for a game like Redfall so I'll be playing this on Game Pass with 60fps+ launch day.

People choosing where to pay their $70 for that month, better yet people choosing to buy a SYSTEM to play a game.

And before you scream Gamepass, people who AREN'T already GP subscribers would need a reason to subscribe.

When this cheap basement project is sandwiched in-between 2 games that actually look like high quality AAA products, why would anyone *who isn't already invested in XB ecosystem* waste their time spending money on Redfall? 99% wouldn't.

While it certainly would have been nice to have the game run at 60fps at launch 30fps isn’t a dealbreaker for me. Plus they’ll fix it later anyway. Not a big deal to me. 🤷‍♂️

The 2 times 60fps modes were even brought into question on PS5 was Spiderman Miles Morales and Horizon Forbidden West DURING DEVELOPMENT when the confirmation for 60fps modes were not clear.

Then BEFORE LAUNCH the developers squashed both of those false cries of outrage from xbox fanboys with confirmations of 60fps performance modes at launch.

Don't forget it's also always online. Which means if you want to play on Xbox you have to pay even more if you don't have Xbox Live. And the game becomes pretty much worthless when your Xbox Live runs out.

For my PS5, the only game I get to buy for the rest of 2023 is Spider-Man 2, which is on the same map for the last two :(

Actually thought 60fps was the standard for consoles nowadays, except for weaktendo. Glad I don't console game.. People should scream for a 60fps mode for all games. But then again, doubt most console gamers care about fps or even notice any difference.

I am in mortal dread of what's in store for a performance mode version of the game on XSS.

The bigger question everyone should ask is...

Why does THIS game even have a 30fps mode on Xbox Series to begin with? It's should be 60fps or 120fps period.
