Red Dead Redemption 2 is native 4k on Xbox One X, what should we expect from PS5 and XSX next gen optimizations?

RDR2 runs at native 4k on X1X and looks really great. Of course it only runs at 30 fps but rock solid. The X1X has 6 teraflops of power but the XsX has 12 teraflops and also has hardware ray tracing support. CPU the X1X was weak with it's 8 core 8 thread 2.3 Ghz Jaguar modified cores, the XsX has Ryzen 8 core 16 thread at 3.8 Ghz. This takes it from a very weak CPU to a high end powerful CPU.

The hardware difference between the X1X which is pretty good for current gen vs XsX is just staggering. It's like comparing a PC with a low power old school laptop CPU 8 core 8 thread at 2.3 ghz and a RX 580 GPU vs a PC with full desktop high end CPU at 3.8 Ghz 8 core 16 thread and a RTX 2080 Super for GPU.

We can expect the bump from 30fps to 60fps but there has to be a lot more. Is it going to be fully ray traced 60 fps and native 4k? Or is it going to be a mild improvement that disappoints?

What do you expect from current gen graphical masterpieces such as RDR2 when they are optimized for next gen consoles?

Probably locked 30 by code, unlikely you will see it any higher.

Don't expect much from PS5, it's a much weaker system.

It will just be the PC version running on Ultra/30 fps.

Don't be so sure about that. They've said they can take Xbox One 30 fps games and update them to 60. It will require an update though, it can't be done by the 'flick of a switch' so to speak. But even if games life RDR2 got to 60 on Series X, it won't be at 4K, that's for damn sure.
