Big hits like this are great for gaming and the industry.

I heard that having only multi-platform games are bad because it would eliminate competition yet you have games like this that dominate any exclusive on the PS4 or Xbox. Games compete with games. :)

Does that include Digital sales? I can’t speak for anywhere else but my local Target has sold out multiple times on physical copies, so digital is really the alternative solution.

That would be me, waiting for RDR2 PC version. Though to tell the truth, "if" I see RDR2 up for sale on Black Friday, I might just might, double-dip PS4 unless it's on a good deal that is.

@davillain-: Can't blame you. Game looks fun, but I only have the base PS4 and I can't stand dips below 60, more so dips below 30 fps. Plus, once I get my 2080, the game will look glorious on 1440p 144hz(if it is well-opmtimized, that is.)

I don't expect it to rival GTA V sales to be honest. The GTA series is Rockstar's flagship and has an enormous fan base that even includes a part of the casual gamer demographic. You can't say that about Red Dead Redemption.

GTA is popular among non gamers abd RDR is not. Many of my friends play GTA and they dont even know RDR exist at all.

Considering Red Dead is a Western, a genre that both is dead in games and (for the most part) movies, 17 million is..uh... gewd.

How many times do I have to say GOW got boring, just look around I'm not alone, and yes RDR2 gets boring sometime but not as bad as GOW.

You're a lemming so nobody should trust you on that. But anyways, I'm pretty sure all games are found boring by somebody sometime but when the reports come in considerable numbers (not saying that's the case with RDR2 because I haven't looked into that) then it makes a difference against other games.

I'm wondering that too. I'm sure it's sold a lot, but they could be channel stuffing the hell out of these.
