Ratchet and Clank 2015 is... a Movie?

Awesome. Will be nice if they release an amazing Traditional Ratchet and Clank game at the same time the movie comes out for PS4.

Man the merchandise potential is huge. Sony realizes that. Ratchet & Clank will translate really well on to the big screen.

I understand that Rainmaker is making it. But do you honestly think Sony won't be supervising them? Ratchet & Clank are one of Playstation's most iconic video game characters. They will definitely be involved since this will reach the masses. They won't screw it up, not with Insomniac supervising either.

Avengers 2 was confirmed 2012 and it wont be out till 2015.. its always like this to let people know

I think that it looks like a Pixar Movie and the fact they are using the voice actors from the game like James Arnold Taylor should at least make the acting decent plus I have always felt the series has had good stories.

A new game will be released to coincide with the movie. Mark my words.

honestly with the R&C series excellent dialogue and humor, I always thought " damn this is awesome and funny, why isnt sony making a tv series based on this series?"

One of the biggest questions weve gotten in the last few years is When are you going to make a Ratchet & Clank movie? The truth is, weve wanted to do a movie for a long time! Ratchet & Clanks action, humor and galaxy-spanning adventures have really been the basis for a fantastic game series, and we think itd translate perfectly to the big screen.

Weve been looking for the right partner to help us bring a Ratchet & Clank movie to life, and were thrilled to announce that Blockade Entertainment and Rainmaker Entertainment are currently in production on Ratchet & Clanks first cinematic adventure. Insomniac is honored to play a hands-on role with the films production, screenplay, character development, and animation consulting. Furthermore, our own Ratchet & Clank writer, T.J. Fixman, who has written all of the recent Ratchet & Clank games, is writing the script for the film as well.

what's funny is that this Movie actually looks relevant to the Video Game Series, which may make this the first Video Game Movie to actually be correct to the source material (since Advent Children anyway).

I'm intrigued.

RaC do come across as potential targets for a movie license given the works of Pixar, Dreamworks, and what not. Will await reviews, however, could end up sucking hard given the curse of game based movies.
