And so it begins....

Work in progress but so much for dat native 4k stuff.......

It's an early build so frame rate could be sorted out.

GTX 1070 runs it much faster when looking at gameplay videos on YouTube..... but...but....teh Ark Dev said it was like a 1070..

Can the Xbox One fail any harder? I really think Microsoft should rebrand the next console because the One brand is the equivalent of virtual boy.

It indeed does..... but there's videos on YouTube showing a GTX1070 running 1440p at max settings with resolution reconstruction OFF (So rendering at the same resolution) and giving a higher frame rate then Xbox X and with higher settings.

0fps as Pro refuses to render games that flop as hard as QB did.

Awesome, Sounds like a significant improvement over the base XOne. Already finished twice though, but its nice to know that a near "worst case scenario" gets this kind of significant upgrade in comparison to the base XOne. Its not a game that I expected to reach 4K Native easily, it was 720 P on XOne if I remember correctly.

lmao so 1440p/30fps?

Sounds like RX 580 level of performance to me. And people said that Xbox One X is on par with a GTX 1070. A 1070 or even the 2 year old 980ti can both run games at 1440p/60fps high to ultra settings. Hell Forza 7 demo is out it's been confirmed that a GTX 1060 can run it at 4k 56-60fps with ultra settings. The RX 580 is slightly faster than a 1060 so I can see it running at a constant 60 fps. So much for needing a GTX 1070 at minimum to run that game at 4k/60fps lmao.

Edit: inb4 Ron boy shows me charts

@davillain-: The closer we get to launch, the more evidence that supports the Xbox One X < GTX 1070 argument we get. The Forza 7 demo is running super well at 4K on GTX 1060 level GPUs and cheezit CPUs. Now we see QB performing well below the 1070. It's almost as if folks were overhyping the X1X performance. If only someone here in SW could have tried to temper these wild expectations.

With the reconstruction off it just works like any other game...... And yes I know the frame rate thank you, I've watched the video..... and not a 'few' dips below 30fps..... load more then a 'few'.

Let's show the GTX1070 rendering the game at the same 1440p resolution Xbox X renders the game at...

That's at Ultra quality, the 'medium' preset on PC is what falls closest to Xbone.... so with the quality dropped in line with Xbone levels it would be a good chunk faster then Xbox X.

GTX 1060 running Quantum Break at Xbox X equivalent settings and rendering at the same native resolution.

Loading Video...

So Xbox X is actually much closer to a GTX 1060 then it is a GTX1070 as many (Especially one person) have been arguing over the last few months.

So it's natively rendering at 4 times the resolution that it did on Xbox One, I'm failing to see the problem and it's funny seeing people expect 9x or higher results. From what I've also read one person is doing this update so have patience, I'm sure he'll hit the performance target.

The issue isn't the over all result of the game, the issue is certain lemmings trashing PS4 Pro and cows for having such games on Pro...... So this is a harsh lesson for those certain people who simply would not get it in to their heads that Xbone will have it's fair share of sub native 4k games and that it's not as capable as it was hyped up.

Anyone with half a brain knew what it would do in the real world.

Not 100 percent correct. https://www.gamespot.com/forums/system-wars-314159282/free-forza-7-demo-out-now-on-pc-and-xbox-one-33405603/#50

QB X1X has improved textures not medium..

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2017-does-quantum-break-on-xbox-one-x-really-deliver-4k-gameplay

In addition to the resolution bump - which offers a massive improvement alone, as the shots below should illustrate - texture filtering is also greatly improved, which could be a combination of the increased resolution and a higher level of anisotropic filtering. Either way, textures are much sharper as a result. And it's got to be said that visually, Quantum Break still holds up very well, with highly detailed character models, beautiful volumetric lighting, a nice implementation of global illumination and excellent post-processing effects.

....

To put the performance situation into perspective though, the comparison shots on this page suggest that the Xbox One X code is running on higher quality settings than the base version. Lighting is further refined and additional scene geometry is present, for starters.

Again, you are trying to hard.

Texture filtering could be either... so that's denied..

GTX1060 could run Ultra textures, if you look at the video I posted it average in the mid 30's and most cards don't take a performance hit form running higher resolution texture these days.

So it still stands, Xbox X is level with a GTX1060 and not a GTX1070.

He stressed this was an early build and the slightb performance problems could be sorted out. He also stressed this was a highly demanding game on high end PCs. I actually watched the video unlike most idiots on here like davilian, goldenelement, mowgly, apuranahatemycat, etc. You're also a cow yourself correct? Dumb as always.

Which I pointed out in my OP..... so you watch the video but then fail to comprehend and understand my OP.......

@scatteh316: For your comment to Prime

Yet, you keep raving about IT having lower res and fps, they promised 4x res boost, 1080p and some 900p would hit native 4k.. 720p impossible, which they also said when the machine was announced ?

So what exactly are you trying accomplish with this or expecting ?

its an unfinished build as he said, and a 720p on OG X1.. doing these things on purpose, imo should be bannable, you even said IT in the op..

Atleast wait till release, then brag about FPS drops if any by then. tho on resolution, they delivered on the 4x boost.

Scaling is enabled for 4K. Ultra settings, GTX 1060 takes a dip down to 11 fps average at 4K. This is MSI Gaming X GTX 1060 OC version.

Your medium setting native 1440p youtube link is missing the reconstruction pass hence avoiding extra memory copy and sampling process, 5 percent higher clock speed over stock and lacks DF's action scenes.

Furthermore, X1X build is still under development.

GTX 1060 running Quantum Break at Xbox X equivalent settings and rendering at the same native resolution.

So Xbox X is actually much closer to a GTX 1060 then it is a GTX1070 as many (Especially one person) have been arguing over the last few months.

Thank you for just proving that a GTX1060 offers more performance then Xbox X.

Try reading post 26..... and did it ever occur to you that some people might actually like seeing the metrics and seeing how they pan out when comparing builds?

Cow circle jerk incoming...

Lol. Gonna be like this every time a game isn't native 4k. That's ok but... we'll just balance it out with a Pro comparison and see which is better :)

Seems right. XBOneX is supposed to quadrupal resolution of current Xbox One games.

1080p native -> 4k native (4x 1080p)

720p native -> 1440p native (4x 720p)

So yeah, this is both expected and good since the game has such high demands.

I don't remember seeing any posts that said EVERY game would be native 4k... but ok.
