The slight lead PSP had this year in the USA is gone. DS is back on top. Not to mention the fact that DS is outselling PSP in Europe.. and DOMINATING Japan.. I think it's safe to say that DS = Winnar.

Is this by the true method? Or are they using sony's old, "How many we ship is how many we report as sold".

Yeah the DS is the winner it appears. Though I don't think the PSP is necessairly flopping. It is not the winner, but I still think it is doing pretty well. Also that Samus avatar is nice, she is pretty =^ , ^=.

saleswise it is a flop, but in profit, it passed the PS2's success in that catagorie.

The topic creator only seems to be comparing sales here. And besides, profits didn't help Nintendo win the war last gen.

It's not a flop. It's already sold a few million units. Because of it's price, it's not selling as fast as it probably should. The PSP is like twice the price of the DS. Do you actually believe it would as many as the DS?

Indeed. And Sony has done a substantially better job with the PSP than most other non-Nintendo handheld manufacturers have.

DS worldwide sales are also higher than PSP worldwide sales. PSP=OWNED.

Considering Nintendo has owned the handheld market for over 10yrs now, it should definitely be leading. It's also 1/2 the price of the PSP.  The PSP started out slow because of the high price and weak gamers, but it's been selling a lot better over the past 6-8 months. It'll never catch the DS, but no one, (even Sony) expect it to. M$ is already considering releasing a handheld as well. I hope they can keep the price under $150.

Nintendo also owned the console market for 10 years before someone came along. Maybe that's why the Gamecube is the best selling console right now.

And with Microsoft coming into the HH market soon and i think another company might jump in to then The HH market will have options which is always a good thing

just because a system sells more doesnt mean its  better people buy the more ds because they think the touch screen would be cool (which is wrong)cause most games either dont use it at all or use it for every single thing

Wow sheep are really insecure when it comes to handhelds.
They want the PSP to go away so badly, it's getting kind of sad.
