PS5/XSX early adopters - what game(s) are you interested in picking up at launch?

I'm hoping to get a PS5 this holiday season! Even bought a 4K TV recently to catch up with the times lol. With that said, I'm looking forward to picking up some launch games to welcome myself into the next gen. Although we don't know all the details yet, there is some information out there about games that will be available. For what I know so far, I'm interested in Dirt 5, the new Call of Duty, Ratchet & Clank, and Spider-Man Miles Morales. Also hoping Demon's Souls remake is a launch title. The marketing seems to suggest it may be. So those are my picks for now. What are yours?

Still a bit premature for this thread as we don't have an official list of day one titles yet.

I'm planning on buying 2 games at launch with my PS5. Right now it's looking like Outriders and AC Valhalla but AC could be replaced depending on what is shown to be actual launch games.

I may consider AC Vahalla and The Medium for Series X. The rest is on Gamepass. 😁

For the PS5, Ghost of Tsushima and Last of Us 2 if there is an upgraded version of the game.

Hoping to get an Xbox Series X at launch. Probably won’t be picking up any games on the same day though. Would like to get Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War before the end of the year.

Ill be getting Spider-Man MM and cyberpunk. I’ve already have ghost tsu and last of us 2, that I’ll be replaying on the PS5

What are the launch games?

Sadly my PS5 plans are on hold due to an unexpected hardware failure :(.

But if i was getting one, in terms of PS5 games, i would be looking to get GT, Spiderman, Horizon 2 & R&C. I would also look to raid the PS4 backlog a good bit.

hmm...maybe they will all be out by Christmas 2021....the delay could be a blessing in disguise.

I picked up XB1 Call of Duty AW special edition console (was the first CoD that wasn't on last gen systems)

I picked up PS4 for BloodBorne.

So I'll be going for next gen only games I don't want a cross gen one. I'll be skipping Ubisoft games entirely for sure as I've had horrible experiences with their games fun factor.

I guess ill get Spiderman MM at launch for 60 bux since its next gen only.

I'll picking up Demon Souls Remake when that comes out and GodFall.

I'll wait for CoD to go next gen only before I hop in on PS5.

I'll get a PS5 in some years. Preferably for Horizon Forbidden West, and preferably a slim version or a version with a bigger SSD in it.

But that's it. I'm getting no other console than PS5 next gen. Nothing from MS, nothing from Nintendo.

I haven't seen anything interesting from either system yet. At least not on launch day. If I decide to get Valhalla it will be on the PC.

Well I am really, really hoping Sony lets us play PS4 games on our PS5 both disc and online titles... in 4K/30 if not 4K/60....

Then I'd replay a lot of the games I already finished like TLOU2 , RDR2, GOW, MGS5, FFVII: Remake, etc.

Because to be honest there isn't really any next-gen game I am looking forward to play. Call of Duty: Cold War of course because I buy COD every year.

I've held out on buying GoT as I'm saving it for a PS5 version.

@SolidGame_basic: I cannot speak for PS5 owners as it will be a few years and a couple price drops with an exclusive or two I am interested in before I consider investing in that economy.

But as for Series X, with Game Pass? Literally so many games to choose from.

Picking up a Series X. Probably wont pick up a game, will just hook it up in the den. Take the One X to the downstairs playroom, and take that X One to the upstairs playroom. I'll just play the games I have and are on Gamepass faster and prettier (where applicable).

If Sony announces a $399 box, I'd be tempted to get that just for Demon's Souls (favorite PS3 game); though I don't really want to pay for PSN+ for multiplayer.

Nothing announced from Sony that interests me at the moment and I can play anything from Xbox on PC for free (with Ultimate Game Pass).

Even if Demon Souls releases close to launch it's still not worth buying a PS5 for. Next gen consoles seem to be more about hardware than games at the moment. I know launches are typically like that but I hoped for more. Who knows though, maybe Sony have a couple of surprises they're holding back for launch.
