PS5 tops Japan Chart, PlayStation domination continues, Nintendo is doomed again, world peace secured

PS5 showing its dominance, the best selling console everywhere on this planet including the getting irrelevant Japan market. Tops both Software and Hardware sales like the power player it always is. Next week the weak mobile phone game console AKA Nintendo Switch only ontop cause of supply issues of the PS5 showing how popular the PS5 worldwide is.

Xbox sold 20k series X/S back to 10 units very soon. They should just stick with xcloud and be done with it is it really worth it.

Pretty sure PS5 is only at the top due to its release. Japan is no longer a console market and are heavily portable gaming oriented. Nintendo focused on portable. I expect Switch to regain the top shortly.

What's more surprising is the X and S managed to pass 20k units sold combined for their first month in Japan.

Pretty small difference there, certainly nothing that I would call “domination”.

That's not what you call domination when Nintendo still takes up half of the market and will likely take the top spot again once the new console paint wears out.

New console and it barely beats the switch. Sony continues to decline in japan. To be honest they deserve it as they barely care. Very soon there gonna be in MS territory.

@Archangel3371: if you’re adding in the Switch Lite to the mix you’d need to add in the PS5 Digital. Which does give PS5 the win.

Nintendo will do fine as they always have. Their consoles sell fast because they have a lot of great games and it's an affordable price. And Sony has always done better internationally than Xbox, especially in Japan.

Lets be real, Japanese gamers are disgustingly casual gamers and the Switch is their perfect on-the-bus-machine. It will outsell the rest until the Switch 2 comes out. Other systems trying to outsell it is like MS trying to be big in Japan, its just not a thing.

As a cow, i give Japan to sheep. Take it and go away with your hd ports filled handheld that runs everything in under 25fps.

Ugh, under 25fps... the reason I cannot play most Legend of Zelda titles. I believe OoT was actually 20fps. Makes me nauseous.
