Seriously, I KNOW sony has learned many valuable lessons from the infamous Playstation 3.

Playstation 4 will be off the chain and Sony will redeem itself like no other. What Changes do you think Sony will make the next go around? Maybe no more lying about graphic capabilitiesin the years leading to release? A huge amount of high quality launchtitles? Full motion control? Price tagunder$250?

Why do so many people hate sony?

even if you're a sheep or a lemming, it doesn't mean that you have to hate sony. You could simple be choosing not to partake in the ps3 experience because you do not feel the value is equal to the asking price.

The only thing that Sony needs to learn from this generation is to give their system an identity. The PS3 really doesn't have one which is why it is getting its butt kicked right now.

Well that's right...anyway i was refering to making lame hardware, sony would have won this gen in terms of sales already if it had republished the ps2 and written on it PS3 lulz oh and added the sixaxis

I think Sony have learned a lot this gen. They tried to enter the CPU marked and movie marked while making a gaming console, that's hard. I think the PS4 will have slightly more powerfull CPU, but they will probably try to get the most powerfull GPU and make the console easy to develop games for. The PS4 will be a lot cheaper than the PS3 at launch, since they probably are'nt gonna develope any new hardware, they will just improve on what they already have.

There was a lot of mistakes done with the PS3, and the biggest one was in my opinion promising something that was'nt there. The removal of one of 2 HDMI's could give a clue what they had problems with. We know they had heat problems under development, and the reason they removed it could be because they clocked the GPU on the PS3 down a lot. Of course Sony or Nvidia would'nt admit doing so anyways, but it could be a reason. Of course, I am probably wrong, but they're early goals sounded pretty far fetched, and the GPU in there is very fast on paper. I just think that if that GPU had been as fast as it is on paper, the developers would have had easyer job developing games for the PS3, at least making them run well.

Anyway, I do think that sony will still use the Cell and use a faster blu-ray drive for the ps4 with a new gpu that can handle next-gen graphics. They will try to make a profit next-gen and make the ps4 much more developer friendly. It will be pretty much following Nintendo's footstep.

I got a feeling Sony will change the name of the console by then, it'll basically be a PS4 but with a new name.... give it a fresh look and more appeal to gamers. Realistically it'll be higher graphically than the PS3/Xbox 360, most likely have a blu-ray RW drive, HDMI and USB ports. I'm pretty sure it'll have an entirely new controller interface and stronger CPU... although they may take a step back and look outside the box and get back to their roots somewhat.

In box predictions:

1. Sony console (nameless)

2. Sony controller (not dualshock 4)

3. Component cables (HDMI would be nice but I dont know)

4. Power cable

5. Controller USB charger

6. Instruction manuals

7. Demo disk (like the old PSone days)

Now I dont believe it will have any backward compatibility but It will most likely have a decent sized HDD and keep the PSN and store the same with PSone and PS2 game downloads, I doubt it will play PS3 games but they'll have a failry cheap redesign by then... and I'm guessing it will cost about $499 dollars upward to $699 and have maybe 2 skus available. Maybe by then it will have some kinda virtual reality interface but maybe thats still too soon.
