PS4 Release Schedule is Patheticville

I absolutely love my nice shiny PS4... AC4 is gorgeous (though clearly built as a last gen game) and I suppose in a moment of weakness I'd pony up some scratch for another launch game, even though none of them are worth $60 imo...

So I decide to look up what's coming over the next couple weeks to keep me going and theres just shit... I mean shit. nothing is coming out on this console for not weeks, but MONTHS worth playing. Has there ever been a vapid expanse of nothingness from a console before? Good god.... guess we all have to wait till march to turn the thing on again after AC4.

First game I saw on that list worth playing was Infamous SS. Also, long time no speak :P

I don't think there's anything else on X1 for a while longer than the PS4 iirc.

I'm actually planning on getting an X1 instead of a Ps4.

I was planning on picking up a Ps4 when Infamous hits, but then I'd be stuck with a PS4 and Infamous. There's not exactly a worthy backlog to go back to.

If I buy an X1, I can play a bunch of games I haven't played yet. I'd be enjoying the exclusives X1 has to offer, and I could visit my brother and play the exclusives of the Ps4.

This doesn't mean I won't get a Ps4, I'll get one down the line. But for now, it just seems more logical to buy an X1, because I already have access to a Ps4.

That's a pretty awesome first-year list, multiplats included. Can't wait for some of those titles on there, though I'll probably go Vita only on some like Hotline Miami 2.

Funny thing is there's more coming out for it than X1. Infamous and Metal Gear will keep me plenty busy, same for Dying Light, Thief, and Watchdogs. Just because YOU feel that there's nothing to play doesn't make it so.

Is the X1's release schedule really that much better?

The only game I see on that list that even mildly raises my heart is Binding of Isaac. I have a bad feeling about Infamous SS.........

@freedomfreak: The situation is inverted for me. I was going to get X1 for Dead Rising 3 but that's just one game. The rest of X1s games are shit. Either the console would collect dust or I would use it only to watch movies. Multiplats are also just not worth playing on X1 unless it's your only console.

yeah, I have flower, resogun and AC4 right now and im just not paying 60 bucks for killzone, cod or battlefield... not worth it to me. I do want to play Ryse however and Forza looks really great. Slim pickings all around for a while I suppose. I'll probably get the Tomb Raider ultimate edition in January for PS4 but that's just because I actually skipped the game all together on last gen consoles (don't hit me Freedom :P ) I've owned it on pc for a while but haven't played it yet.

Either way, there is no wrong choice as to which console to buy right now... but there is a sound decision in waiting all together.

I have no problem with list itself... I just have issue with all the time I have to wait to play all those Q1's 2's 3's and 4's... blah.

@TheEroica: I believe they said Dying Light isn't coming out until 2015 when they was talking at the VGA.

yeah, try the last 3-4 years of the xbox 360's life cycle. you more than anyone should know these company's history with gamers, and that sony ALWAYS puts up the cash for the games. your boys at M$ on the other hand...well, you know. why are you playing dumb here?

That's understandable. For me it's just a case of being able to play as many games as possible, me owning an X1, and my brother the PS4 fixes that.

I can agree there, people are now playing the Wii U's best exclusive, The Waiting Game, on their PS4.

I think that tessallation would love to play that Basement Crawl, he's very into basements from what i've learned on SW.

just opinions. i think thats plenty spaced out compared to the xb1. after titanfall, i dont see anything else for a long while. ps4 has at least a couple exclusives that arent bunched together in march. i hate having to buy like 5 games at once cuz i dont get to play all of them. farcry3 is still shrink wrapped for goodness sakes

Oh I agree wholeheartedly that MS botched the last three years of XBOX gaming. That said, from a business perspective, microsoft allowed the far more popular and lucrative multiplats to carry the system to the finish line... lousy for gamers, but smart from a business perspective.

I bought the PS4 first, partly, because I believe SOny WILL nurture the console for the entirety of its shelf life...

Still, Im not speaking of a the way things will be, Im talking about how they are now.... and right now and for the foreseeable future these consoles are vapid.

I decided to wait a while longer before the great PC build... PS4's price was just so right. I AM enjoying it though... just really slim pickins, almost irritatingly so.

Yeah it's disappointing, although I did pick up pretty much every launch game I get really tired of the shooters. Next game I'll get is probably Tomb Raider then Thief and that more than 1-2 months away :(

Yea I really agree I was just in a very compulsive buying mood when I got my PS4. I've really only played AC4 on it, just finished it, and now I plugged my PS3 back in to play Batman Arkham Origins. I feel for the most part I'll be catching up on my backlog until Tomb Raider, Thief, Infamous, etc.

@TheEroica: I think it had dribbles before September. Pikmin 3 and W101 came around summertime, but it's only now picking up to a respectable level.
