PS4 exclusives vs Xbox One exclusives

I am torn in between in what system I should be getting and ´the exclusives are the deal breaker for me.

So what system has the better exclusives? My gaming taste is along the lines of Metal Gear, Mass Effect, Fallout, The Elder Scrolls, Bioshock, etc...

So which platform has exclusives more reminiscent of the games I have listed above?

If you have to ask others.....you shouldn't be picking up either.

Care to explain how that particular breed of logic works?

Xbox only has Halo, Gears, Forza

PS4 has a list of diverse games like JRPGs and cinematic movie games like Until Dawn and The Order 1886 plus superior racing games like Driveclub

I will have to say that Kojima's new upcoming PS4 game is interesting to me. I will have to wait to see what type of a game it will be.

I own both consoles, and the PS4 is awfully behind via first party.

Well, Sony had last year way more exclusives and new AAA IP's ( Bloodborne, The Order, Until Dawn ) and that will continue in 2016. You will find so much variety of games on PS4 platform. MS had some great holiday ( yes, holiday ) with sequels from existing franchise, Halo 5, Forza 6 and multiplatform game Rise Of The Tomb Raider. ROTR was released first for Xbox platforms last November. This month PC version is on schedule and later this year on PS4.

Anyway, pure and simple, Xbone fans will tell you that Xbone has the best exclusives, PS4 fans will tell you that PS4 has the best exclusives. Well, that's true. Bloodborne is the highest rated exclusive last year.

Well, Xbone has GeOW remaster too. 2016 on Xbone is also Halo ( Halo Wars 2 )/Forza ( probably this year Forza Horizon 3 )/ GeOW ( Gear Of War 4 ), dude. It's true argument, isn't it. Luckily, there will be some new IP's ( Quantum break, Scalebound, ReCore etc. )

TBH they are both about the same, even now more than two years after release neither console has enough on them to be worth buying. This is from a PC gamer perspective, If you dont own a PC then there are a ton of Multi platform games to enjoy but the exclusives are not that attractive. If I absolutely had to have one then I would go with the one that has the better looking future and in this case thats the PS4, or I would wait for the NX and see how that does.

Neither system carry enough exclusives to justify a purchase on that particular basis.

If you have the funds to put together a gaming PC, that would be the much stronger alternative.

The guy just now got away from Konami and their non-compete clause, his game doesn't even exist right now, not in any degree, there's probably barely even concept art right now not to mention he needs an engine as Konami owns the Fox Engine....

P.S. That list is padded with a ton of multi-platform games, indies and unreleased games.

From one Metal Gear fan to another, the PS4 is the way to go. Especially since it seems you like action/adventure and RPGs. Look into Horizon: Zero Dawn, PS4 exclusive open world RPG and the lead writer is the same as Fallout: New Vegas.

I have both, out of all the exclusives on PS4 cows praise so much about ( bu, bu, bu PoS gotz Bloodborne ! ) I only care about 3 ( and Bloodborne is not one of those ) same applies to lems with the X1 ( bu, bu, bu Xboner gotz Forza ! ) I only care about 3, why I got PoS4 before X1 is a matter of moment, PS4 had the exclusives I wanted almost at launch while X1 didn´t. The rest of the games I have are mainly multiplats for both.

All the types of games OP listed are on both platforms. Pick going by whichever controller you prefer or something.

Do some research? The list of upcoming exclusives are widely known. Look at them, read about them and see which ones appeal more to you. Let's be honest on here you will get PS fans saying that the PS4 is the only way to go. You will get Xbox fans saying the Xbone is the only way to go. Only you can decide which games appeal more to you. Either that or just buy both systems and have the best of both worlds.

Having said that, the choice is clear, gen leading PS4.

All the games you listed are multiplats.

Only thing I can say PlayStation games focus a lot on story and presentation while Xbox games are more focused action and multiplayer.

PS4 has a huge Western RPG upcoming in Horizon Zero Dawn. Xbox has Fable Legends.

I'm pro-Sony, but I think people need to make the decision for themselves.
