Okay, most of your threads I've seen in System Wars board are mostly to do with Sony but why is your avatar a Nintendo character?

good to see sony using nintendo motion controls for this game.

i wish they would copy nintendo again and use it in all their shooter 1st party games.

as for the game? cool wall paintings. boring gameplay.

@KBFloYd: The PlayStation 3 launched with motion controller on November 11, 2006 and the Wii launched on November 19, 2006. Yes, in case you didn’t know the PS3/PS4 controllers are also motion controllers.

I play games on all platforms. Playstation is my console of choice but Fire Emblem is one of my favorite game franchises.

I just made 3 posts yesterday- one was about Sony and PS4/Facebook integration, one was about completing the Links Awakening remake and this one about Concrete Genie launching today.

Graphically it looks really interesting, but the gameplay just isn't there from what I've seen, easy pass for me.

It actaully did. The six-axis controller that launched with the PS3 had motion sensing, but no rumble. According to Sony, "DualShock 2's rumble feature has been dropped, says Sony, as the vibration "interferes with information detected by the sensor". The initial PS3 controller design was that silly boomerang, but initial reaction mixed with a legal battle surrounding Sony's use of its haptic feedback technology forced the change. Meaning, the motion controls had nothing to do with the absence of rumble. Sony even claimed rumble was "last gen."

and now rumble is the key feature of the dualshock 5....lulz

anyway... damn... i guess they did have it. however it was a very early form of motion detection and worked very innacurately from what ive read. the wiimote was "real motion control" also the dualshock 4 has the "real motion control" in it. not the ps3 motion control prototype.

though i have to give credit to sony for even having some form of it back then. so i admit i was wrong.

sony have never gone full motion control. the only time nintendo did it they won the generation.

however i agree. i think games are of higher quality when they concentrate more on the game instead of the controls.

motion control should definitely be a optional feature though for any game that has aiming in it imo.

This looks really cool. Everything that I read in the review made me want to buy the game until the last paragraph said it only takes 6 hours. Even at that $30 price point that's $5 an hour and they don't add combat until the very end of the game. I'm digging the concept and artstyle but realistically I can't see myself paying more than $15 for this.

@valgaav_219: played through the first chapter. It’s pretty good so far. Light platform elements with the paint mechanics. The painting is actually easier and more fun than I thought it would be

Anyway, I just picked up a physical copy of CG. Target didn't have it in stock, but I managed to get the lone copy at a nearby GameStop.

Edit: Less than an hour in, and boy is this a nice looking game! I'm still kickin' it old school with a launch PS4, too. It's got a bit of a Psychonauts vibe as far as the art style. I really like the looks of it.

Don't really care about the reviews, as just a couple of minutes into the video I stopped watching because it looks boring. And having to paint the buildings in each level sounds like a grind not worth the pain because after probably 30mins I would be doing the bare minimum just to pass each level.

I want to play this, but not at $30. Maybe half of that. TBH, I think this is the sort of game Sony should be offering on their PS Now service.
