When launch aligned, the PS4 is now on track to reach 100m faster than the Wii and inline with the PS2.

So PS4 will pass up the Wii this year. And tracking at PS2's pace currently, but it may not match the PS2's final crazy numbers (159 million!!!)

Sony says profit for gaming will be down next year as it ramps up investment in PS5. Also suggests first party software sales will be lower this year which suggests they may not have a big 1P (First Party) presence. Last year had God of War, Spiderman and Detroit etc...

I mean, Sony released their annual Fiscal Report a few hours ago. MS and Nintendo did theirs already in the last couple days. Why would we not mention Sony's report earnings? It's kind of relevant gaming news, and at least Sony releases console sales figures. No one knows jack shit about Xbox One's numbers, but it's likely to be passed up by the Switch very soon.

Man PS4 still selling great. Props for Switch giving them some competition too but I’m shocked at how many PS4’s have sold. I mainly use mine as a blu ray player but it just goes to show that much like the PS2 a lot of peeps buy it because of the combo of disc format as well as the games. Makes sense why Sony doesn’t seem interested in the all digital future. That’ll kill a lot of their business.
