      • Independentpixel/vertex shaderarchitecture
      • 24 parallel pixel-shader ALU pipes clocked @ 550MHz

And now consider a mid-range graphics card (high end GPU's are unfair to match as technology moves on) such as the hd 7850 which is clocked at 900mhz and has less transsitors than the rsx you can see why,If the ps3 was built a year or two later perhaps it would match hd 7950 graphics due to its highly optamized archtecture. Think about it folks, with a ps3 you have essentially a god machine when it was released and now a mid range PC in todays standards

I'll just cut and paste some specifications for this hardware and compare them with some specifications of this hardware and prove how the first is better even though I have absolutely no fvcking idea what I'm talking about or what any of it means.

PS3's NVIDIA RSX is hardly an optimized architecture compared to Geforce 8 series.

You can't blame NVIDIA for Sony's selection. It's up to Sony(customer) to select the GPU IP and pay accordingly..

During Xbox1 era, MS paid NVIDIA for it's latest Geforce design with dual vertex unit improvements.

NVIDIA sells a range of GPUs. Sony gimped the GPU side for CELL. Sony could spend little on the CPU side and spend big on NVIDIA's Geforce 8 type GPU e.g. 64 CUDA core version.
