PS3 price drop to 199GBP

I work for a very large online retailer and we have new PPD codes for the PS3 slim which are tagged for April. The 250GB slim is going to be £199 and the 120GB version looks to be discontinued. A 250GB PS3 slim for the same price as a Xbox Elite, game set and match to Sony I think.

I'm not familiar with the dollar difference between Europe and North America, is that at a price drop of $300-$250 here in the States ?

GBP stands for Great British Pound

£1= $1.6214 (currently)

if what TC said is true (which I am highly doubt)

then the 250gb PS3 = $322.658

its cheaper than the RRP of $350 (250gb PS3 version) by $28.

Also if there's a Target in your region, they're having a clearance sale on 250gb Slims for as low as $244 in some of their stores. Check out SlickDeals or CAG and see. Not sure if this clearance is just a Target thing or other retailers will follow, but I'm guessing it's because they're going to come out with new bundles.

This constant influx of new models as well as discontinuations coupled with numerous decreases in price indicate that Sony just aren't hitting the mark. The same goes for Microsoft, of course. What changed between this generation and last for this to happen?
