all the videos here on gs or anywhere else cant match how incredible Motorstorm looks on sony bravia that uses 10bit color displays.
Of course some parts are shiny and some aren't...devs make shiny materials shiny, and dull materials are dull. It's called specular lighting. It has nothing to do with the PS3. Teufelhuhn
I think the point is that they are over doing it.

yes they are over doing it and sometimes it doesnt look right at all. It's like the textures are bad and then on top of it there is a shiny coat of paint. its not balanced[QUOTE="Teufelhuhn"]Of course some parts are shiny and some aren't...devs make shiny materials shiny, and dull materials are dull. So? That's nothing new. Exaggerating things like this makes games look cool, even at the expense of realism.[QUOTE="GundamGuy0"][QUOTE="Teufelhuhn"]Of course some parts are shiny and some aren't...devs make shiny materials shiny, and dull materials are dull. Sometimes it makes them look cool... but sometimes really most of the time... it doesn't help at all.

IMo it doesnt go with the game. it doesnt even match sometimes. its like they focus on that one thing and then over do it while other parts of the game looks bland[QUOTE="dimar19"] LOL. Don't you know real life is brown and shiny.
GundamGuy0
Yhea...
I must say blur is a litle bit overused to make ps3 games look better, but its the developers fault, rant against them about there way of game art, not ps3.
