My PS2 was a blast to have suprisingly never broke on me, the thing that will kill it for me is when they stop making Ps2 games! I'll be glad playing God of War 2 on it before it starts collecting dust

that was 500,000 you mean and that was bandai or something talking about 2 of their launch games, but now they have teamed up with sony, so i guess it wasnt that much of an issue.
Uhhh no God of War 2 may be the last superb title for the PS2 but the PS2 is not dead, far from it, that thing is still selling very strongly it would be the most stupidist thing to stop manufacturing the PS2.
PS2 will keep ticking for atleast 2-3 years more. Its just getting cheaper by the minute to produce and has one of the greatest game librarys in histpry so its a low cost alternative for people who can't aford next gen.
