I cancelled my PS4 preorder when Watch Dogs was delayed. No need to get a next gen console now anymore.

All the other games i really want are next year anyway.

yup... one of my buddies used to work for this dude who was a third party for fedex/ups. Basically if you wanted something, just rip off the shipment sticker... because if it "falls" off there's no way to track it so it goes to the trash

@redskins26rocs: eBay, primarily. I did sell one X1 to a guy in my town who wants me to wire up his entire theater room, so he rationalized the service charge into the final cost ($750, plus I don't have to pay any royalties).

I've been fortunate, admittedly (right place, right time). I haven't had to do much but provide a high amount of available funds to pull it off.

One big advantage I have in pricing and maximizing my margins is the fact I don't have to charge shipping. I'm sending it directly to them from Amazon and haven't had any sales tax, either (I'm expecting that to change, however, so my numbers may be off).

@redskins26rocs: Part of my advantage (IMO) was timing. I had my listings up at the first available time (literally 12 am) and hit the right price point, I guess. One thing that aided was not using stock photos, I photoshopped some images to make them stand out (gave them some flare). I believe it helped my traffic a lot.

One other advantage is I have access to a pro account on eBay which allowed me to list multiple units. A bunch of sellers don't have that luxury (reputation is half the business on eBay).

@Basinboy: May put mine up on there tomorrow maybe I will do a little Photoshop also. Are you just changing shipping address to buyer and sending them an invoice? That seems to be what others are doing on Ebay. Also what did you start you price at, would it be better to start high or a little lower to build up bids? Oh and what was the duration of the auction I seem to usually pick 3 but what would you recommend? It seems like a lot of people are getting $600+ would be pretty awesome to get that.

@redskins26rocs: I started at $700 with best offer floors at $600 (no auction). Anywhere in between I would consider. Auctioning with a reserve is stupid, you wait around to see if you meet your reserve and there's no guarantee you'll get there. Just cut out that process and go straight to the requested amount.

Sold 2 PS4s for $650 after some back & forth, first one was bought at $700 (but it was a DS4 bundle which cost $465~ish).

I got several offers for $600 but at that time there were no lower options than $700 consoles (so I had leverage to barter). I bet if you went with a BuyItNow @ $600, you'll move it pretty quick. Remember, eBay generally takes around 12%-13% commission, so factor that into your price.

Once sold, I send a screenshot of the updated information and promise to update with the tracking number once it's issued.

I want to pre-order an X1, unfortunately the day I decided NOT to check my email was the day GameStop said they were taking more pre-orders for that day and I missed my chance. That made me a sad panda.

I didn't preorder anything because why would I when there will be cheaper, more reliable versions of the consoles later down the road.

I couldnt be bothered to take a pic of my ps4 preorder receipt and post it, doesnt matter tho cuz I'm gonna have to cancel it anyway, not cuz watch dogs and drive club got delayed but because ive had some unexpected expenses this past month and I cant afford it until next year around tax time, which makes me a really sad panda cuz I've wanted one since it was anounced T_T

I pre-ordered the X1 from Best Buy when they magically had more to release.......I would have pre-ordered the PS4 instead but Sony is stingy, they lost my money ( for now ) by not having enough consoles to sale.

Had the PS4 and the Xbox One bundle with Fifa ordered too but decided to get the Xbone first cause I don't want anything on the PS4 that much until Infamous and it made more sense to get the Xbox bundled with the game to save some money.
