I know some folks obsess about graphics, well here you go.

I am not sure what the gameplay would be like because I am now watching this 4 minute video, that seems more focus on the tech than the actual game.

Is there anyone actually looking forward to this game? It looks like a movie game. I know some you folks love your movie games. 😎

I like my games to actually have gameplay so I'll probably skip this one.

Seems more like a tech demo than a game, and even then more like a learning experiment or exercise for the team than something for the consumers.

I would imagine their goal is to take what they learn or the tools they create and use them in their upcoming games.

I have no idea what this game is about, but i like the idea of the whole game being in the same partment.

@hardwenzen: Supposedly it is a horror game. As you stated, I am not sure how or what the actual gameplay is going to be like.

They are being (correctly) very selective here in what they show.

Sterile environments, shiny surfaces tend to look photorealistic far more easily compared to other stuff. Namely organic.

Have no idea what game is this but the tech they're developing is impressive.

Mmmm... ...that distinct smell of walking simulator, with a sprinkling of "anyone still not over Konami axing Silent Hills?"

These comparing real life to in game cg used to be so popular back then.

I don't really like it when games go solely for the "graphics king" title and think of it as an indicator of quality, but on the other hand someone has to push the envelope.

If it's a bad game, so be it. Plenty of others to play. But at least we could at least say "Well, now we have a new goal for visuals to obsess over".

Obviously trying to capitalize with the hyped then vaporware P.T. demo except this will be superior since it's MS exclusive.

Isn't Ninja Theory UE4/UE5 user? They don't have their own engine as far as I know.

Anyhow since this game will set in a house, how long do you think the playtime? 3 hours? Maybe 4 hours max if they have a lot of tapes and imaginary voices to be heard?

@pc_rocks: Like with any engine, nothing is stopping you from creating your own plugins.

It certainly looks really good visually. I don’t really know all that much about this but I’ll certainly keep my eye on this and look into it some more.

I would imagine it be something like from the movie "1408" (not exactly a scary movie, but it did have it's creepy moments) mix in with the engine above pics.

Seeing that PT is consistently rated as one of the scariest gaming experiences ever, despite being a 15 minute tech demo, trying to capitalize on that formula is not the worst idea in the world.

Never been a fan of their games, but I like what they're trying to achieve here.

You're right. Didn't see the video, just look at the images and thought they are talking about their engine.

I liked 1408 so if its similar, i'll get this.

Don't forget the tired old line of no gameplay in Sony games. Still pretending Gears and Halo are so different from Uncharted and God of War all this time later lmao

Well, yeah, except "make a game like P.T. but longer" is a bit of an old hat. Layers of Fear, Visage, a whole bunch of indie horror games on Steam since 2014, etc. Even Resident Evil 7 ripped a page or two from that book.

It could certainly still turn out a good game, I just think the market's a bit crowded these days, so there's a need to stand out more.
