Ok is it a remake, remaster or reimagining? FF7R got me confused with the term.

I'll reserve judgment until I see a trailer first and leak pics don't tell the whole story.

I'm hoping the graphics aren't completed on that given today's capabilities. Still, this is a favorite PS2 game and I have high hopes for it.

its a "remaster" of the ps2 game which is a great game. i'll definitely be picking this up.

godfall looks better than any cross gen xbox series x launch game sorry. gunk and medium is the best looking ones for series x launch titles and gunk is a cross gen game.

medium is xbox top looking game so why not use ps5 best looking ones?

I'm excited that PoP is back and specifically that SoT is the one being remade. But man those visuals ain't right and I'm not the guy who usually complains about these sorts of things.

Sad to say as SoT is one of my favorite games ever, but this looks terrible.

I'm glad they are doing something with the franchise, but this doesn't look like it was given much of a budget. Hopefully it runs and plays well.

Hmmm it looks bad , but am interested to see what changes they make to the gameplay.

If the levels have different layouts and the game is a little bit longer, hopefully with less combat then I can live with it looking like this.

Oh well, Sands of Time is one of the best game I have ever played. I'll be picking it up.

How can the Gen Six version, which btw, I played recently on PC and XBOX, and still own a GameCube version, look better artistically than the Gen Eight/Nine version?

I can’t say if this low budget or not, it’s that the art direction is incredibly garish and tacky looking.

This was made by people who fundamentally misunderstand what made the original so beautiful. SoT was always very subtle and simplistic in its aesthetic. This also appears to be missing the lighting and atmospheric engine that gave SoT its ethereal, other-worldly sense.

What a bummer, I was really looking forward to this.

It was so bad I can't tell if they just polished the Gen 6 graphics or they actually remade it. Its really bad.

This is one of those cases where they would have been better just porting the original with 60 fps and higher resolution support. Would have been an easy thing to do and could throw it out digitally for 15 bucks or something for people who never got to play it.

People complain that they didnt completely remaster the graphics/art from the 3D Mario All Stars like THPS or Spyro. But I actually dont mind because I love mario 64 the way it is, dont want them messing with it too much and screwing it up.

In my opinion there was only one Prince of Persia game that didn't completely suck ass. Glad for those that are excited though.

Looks like an early Xbox 360 game. It appears Ubisoft outsourced it to their studios in India that have previously only developed low-budget games. It's a shame The Sands of Time, the GOAT puzzle-platformer, gets such a shoddy "remake" treatment. They should've just called it a HD Remaster. Calling it a Remake is very misleading.
