The result puts the graphics card 31% above stock GeForce RTX 2080 Ti. The 30% upgrade path for the next series is an average performance boost per generation. Hence, it is expected that the model listed is indeed RTX 3080 Ti or how the other leakers call it, the RTX 3090.

Do note, these are with clocks of only 1935MHz which would seem pretty damn low. If it can hit in the 2050MHz range, it could be about 35% faster than Turing. If it can hit 2300MHz+, we'd be talking perhaps a 40-45% jump which would be quite nice.

I just want the card announced already so I can build my new rig. My 970 has done its service, but its made me dial back a lot of my settings to enjoy my 144hz monitor.

It's only a benchmark software, though. Still need to see real-world performance, which can vary according to situation.

Still, if this pans out in the final product, Ampere look very promising. The low clock also gives me hope on the power consumption and thermal fronts, which NVIDIA tend to be good at anyway.

AMD may find it difficult to match this. As usual.

Such a great buy for $329 at the time. Might wanna look at a 3060 if you're looking for a replacement. Doubt we're seeing a 70 for $330 ever again.

If the 3080 can exceed a 2080Ti by 30% while costing as much as a 2080 on release along with the improvements of 2nd gen RT tech it'll be a hell of a card. Add overclocking (which would be a no brainer) and you're laughing.

Will believe it when I see it though.

I make a shit load of money, so I'm fine with going extra on it this time lol.

And yeah graphics cards prices are some BS these days, but what's the alternative? Purchase a Playstation Five? be a console gamer? go back to 30 frames? ICK!!!

Looks like a stock 3070 will be at the very least equal to a stock 2080Ti, if this is a regular 3080. Embarrassing if it's 3080Ti or 3090.

Let's just hope that nvidia will drop prices to compete with AMD, rather than AMD increasing prices to level up with nvidia (if they have competitive GPUs).

Let's just wait for official specs, naming, benchmarks, etc.. In terms of naming... the '90' cards are usually reserved for dual GPU cards and Nvidia hasn't released one since the GTX 690. So, not sure where this RTX 3090 stuff is coming from.

Swear AMD was rumored for a dual card, perhaps SLI/Crossfire is making a comeback.

Price will come first for me. If it's anything like RTX prices I'm skipping, no matter how good performance is.

3080 will cost more than a gaming PC that can almost run every game on high.

Nvidia is just looting us. AMD making PC gaming affordable.

@ghosts4ever: sorry, if I wanted 30 FPS medium settings at 4K I'd buy a console.

AMD needs to competently build an enthusiast GPU and support it well for several years before I ever go back. The 7970 was ages ago.

If all you're shooting for is 1080p/60 you really don't belong in a discussion about high end GPUs. I have a 1440p/144hz monitor and I want every last frame I can squeeze out of that 144.

yet my PC can run Metro Exodus and Doom Eternal smooth. My PC will easily run Cyberpunk (by the time i will upgrade it).

Ok? You're at 1080p/60hz, it doesn't take anything high end do to that. My point stands.

But my friend. AMD is a corporation with executives who wear suits. If they could charge you more then they absolutely would.

Show me some indie GPU manufacturers who make high end cards and dress like hippies.

AMD's GPU are always the honey trap cards. Nvidia maybe greedy (no shit) but at leas they have top quality GPU and no one says you need to buy the high-end, they offer mid-range GPU for a fair price.

Unemployment is at an all time high. If they are stupid enough to think consumers will pay premium price for their cards, they are in for a huuuuuge ride. AMD is gonna own them. And if they overpriced their cards I am going AMD for my new rig as well. Money is tough nowadays.
