Almost as bad as DSP, how embarrassing.
To be fair I was spending a whole lot of time exploring than trying to run through it. And didn't play googoogaga mode.

I started a 10th playthrough of CoP. I had to get used again to the more aggressive and deadly mutants (compared to ShoC and Lost Alpha). Good thing I chanced upon a couple of stalkers taking on the Zaton controller. Made it easier.
The setting of beached shipwrecks has a surreal feel to it.
I can't help it. I'm just not burned out on STALKER yet. The wimpy mutants in Lost Alpha got me playing Call of Pripyat again.
The Mercs at the waste treatment plant behaved differently on the last 3 playthroughs. On this playthrough, they made repeated attempts to flank me. Of course, they were easy kills out in the open. On the previous playthrough, they spammed multiple grenades at me with deadly results. Lots of save game reloads. On the playthrough before that one, they wouldn't leave the protection of the building, forcing me to close in and go floor by floor, room to room.
And still before that playthrough, the whole force of Mercs went out to flank me. I had to make an end run to escape so that I was the one in the building and they were the ones outside. Ha Ha! I love it. Yet another reason why I keep going back to the game.
Pre-ordered the new Prey to the Gods. It's basically a Shadow of the Colossus + Zelda BOTW game. There's crafting, your weapons can break, and then there's the environmental stuff where you have to eat, sleep and warm by a fire, but then you also climb and defeat giant monsters.
Back at it again with some more Monster Hunter and DOOM. The hell knights in DOOM scare the hell out of me. Almost had a heart attack when one of them jumped out behind me while I was exploring. They keep running at you making it dangerous to use the rocket launcher at times because of splash damage and with how hectic fights are with multiple enemies in area knocking barrels around also makes it hard to lure on near barrels to explode. Didn't help that they were first introduced in narrow pathways making it hard to circle strafe them. I find the summoners more annoying than difficult with how they keep teleporting around, it makes glory killing them really satisfying. I glitched through a wall and fell into the molten, really pissed me off with how fair back the checkpoint set me.
The Odogaron was pissing me off, it made me faint twice and was going after me most of the time hardly giving me a chance to heal.
Bit shit but still better than 12 at least. Did waste a huge chunk of time pissing about the police station and still didn't find all the locker combinations. Probably would have sped up if I just kept a pace of paper with notes on Leons or been a super lamo and used the internet.
Went hunting for the Rathalos again and the Diablos for a story quest. Diablos is a pretty weird monster. A dragon that tunnels around instead of flying. Speaking of which don't its wings get in the way when tunneling even if they were tough? Seems no point in them having wings if they just tunnel everywhere. The Handler girl is now my waifu.
Completed the Argent Tower mission in DOOM. Can finally double jump now.
I was reading about the Aral Sea ship graveyard earlier which got me into the urge to fire up STALKER: Call of Pripyat.
@davillain-: That's right! Forget those pansy zombies and fight some demons like a real man. Those 1 foot an hour moving zombies wouldn't last a second even against The Possessed. I hell even an Imp could take a Tyrant down. Hell Knights would wear Super Tyrants like a scarf. So tell me which game is gonna get you more prepared for an apocalypse. RE2 with its lame shoot a already slow zombie in the knee and run away tactics or DOOM and bashing in the brains of a 12 feet tall demon that shakes the ground and chainsawing his other pal in half?
One aspect of STALKER: Lost Alpha I like is having to determine if hostiles are really hostile. I skipped the map The Construction Site entirely in my previous playthroughs because I didn't know how to get into the Mercenary camp. I finally did and it's weird to see so many red dots on the minimap. The Mercs aren't overly friendly either and they don't hesitate to point their guns at me locked and loaded. At that point, I usually leave their camp before I run out my welcome.
Mental note: Don't sleep too long in their camp. Do what I need to do and get out.....sleep elsewhere.
RE2 inspired me to check out Evil Within 2 in the hopes it's better than it's original title. About about half an hour of cutscenes, forced slow walking, running in a straight line and a man saying "what the" and "what the hell", it let me play it. By the time it started I was worn out.
Probably try stick with it, but not expecting much. Esp after RE2.
I was lucky to get Ghostbusters The Videogame on Steam before it was completely pulled down from all stores.
The game is fun, but the Pc version has some screen tearing issue that apparently can only be fixed with a freesync or g-sync monitor.
Just use Nvidia Control Panel to override the vsync within the game.
EDIT: Okay, so just doing vsync in Nvidia control panel doesn't work, but I think I found settings that do.
Try these if you have Nvidia(you won't need the anti-aliasing for this):
Some vintage STALKER: Clear Sky. Well, not really vintage. I'm using Sky Reclamation Project (SRP) which got rid of the "bugs" but, otherwise vanilla. To be fair, I didn't notice any bug with pure vanilla.
Usually, I would say I missed a big fire fight. But, the faction aspect of the game means the fire fights never end. There will be another one in a few minutes. ;)
Some might get tired of it. To me, the scavenging afterwards is a good source of income.
I never get tired of jun_aka_pekto's STALKER imagery.
I have 5 STALKER games to pick from which is a whole ecosystem of games about The Zone.
The last 4 each have their own uniqueness that makes me come back for more.
@DragonfireXZ95 : @aia89 I got AMD, the way to fix the tearing is to disable vsync, even tho occasionally it still happens and has a funny issue when you make the character run, I guess because the fps's are too high/unstable and the game was optimized and capped at 30 fps for consoles. Lazy PC port as usual I guess

Thank you, enabling Vertical sync on "fast" improved a little bit, but still I had to disable the vsync on the game setting, cause it somehow still had effect on the game. It's not that I have a powerful gpu, but 1050 ti is more than enough for this game. Tearing and stuttering still happens here and there though.
Played a level of DOOM on my Dell G3 laptop while staying at a relatives, it runs pretty nice. The hell level is ridiculously fun. The environment just looks so awesome fighting demons in shallow blood filled arenas and the soundtrack is on point. Not even a bit scared of the demons anymore, whenever I see a bunch of Hell Knights and Hell Razers the first thing in my mind is "Awww yeah can't wait to glory kill and chainsaw them!". I died a couple of times and it didn't bother me at all as I saw it as another opportunity to slaughter some more. Another reason I don't mind dying is because I end up finding secrets I missed on my first try for example I would have missed getting the chain gun if I didn't die and didn't decide to explore a part of the level I didn't notice before.
@BassMan: You bought the game in the steam sales? What are your thoughts on it?
I have had it for a while as part of Origin Access Premier. I think the game got bad reviews because it was rushed and broken. I started playing it after the patches/updates and I am enjoying it a lot. If reviewers played the PC version in its current state instead of the console version, it would get decent reviews.

Just like BassMan said, I also had it as part of EA Origin Premier and I too posted pics here as well lol. I'm more surprise you didn't ask me about it. I really like it, I was following the stories on the Darksiders lore and Furry is an interesting character but the reviews hurt the game if they actually played it on PC and yeah, this was rush but the game was alot of fun in ways.

Do you play with the new combat style, or the one akin to Darksiders 1&2 ?

I should have, haha. I really love the darksiders games as well.
To be honest, I only paid for a month of Origin premier to play Battlefield V. But while I had it, I also really enjoyed my time with Ghost of a Tale ^^
@R4gn4r0k: Good old Tilo. I miss that lil guy. :)
I use the default new combat. Many people say the combat is similar to Dark Souls, but I don't find it very similar to Dark Souls at all though. The game is fast paced and free flowing for the most part where you can engage multiple enemies at the same time. Some of the bigger enemies and bosses require more timing and are slower paced, but it still does not feel too much like Dark Souls. Overall, the combat feels good.

That's great to hear. The action in darksiders always felt really high energy, kinda like God of War. So I was really disappointed when I heard it was supposed to be like DS, which is much slower paced and tactical.
