PORT NEWS! For those 3 people that have yet to play RE4... It's coming to the Switch.

Resident Evil 4, one of the greatest games of all time, is headed to Nintendo Switch next year.

Resident Evil and Resident Evil 0 are also on the way, Capcom confirmed this afternoon.

Presumably this means the GameCube REmake version of the original Resident Evil, which also gained launches on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One back in 2015.

I first played Resi4 on Wii.

My goodness, does that game live up to all its hype. Brilliant.

Wow,Resident Evil 4 re-released in 2018/19 for the million time. Not to say it's a bad game, because I know it's probably a great game, but holy shit give us something new rather than a prettier paint job? In my opinion, to many remastered games out there.

The Switch is they system where you re-buy the worse version of games.

I'm all for a good switch port... but for those who havent you need to check out the HD mod for the steam version... theses guys did excellent work.

@DocSanchez: you wont be disappointed, it really revitalizes the game. Even the briefcase menu and weapon / item models look great.

I will buy RE 4 again for it. I just finished the Xbone version a few days ago. Already owned and finished on GC and Wii as well. Shit I even had the 360 version of RE 4 too. I'm a sucker for it.

For whatever reason I never played in on GC. Might pick it up since it's widely regarded as one of the best RE games.

I already bought it twice on the GameCube and then Wii. Almost bought it for the PS3 (I think). Won't buy it again on Switch, but will buy again for PSVR.

Jokes aside, you're right. Same with Street Fighter II. People slam Bethesda for porting Skyrim a ton, yet Capcom still holds the trophy.

At least WiiU got ports from current gen games of its time... making it superior to Switch.

Switch has current-gen ports... It's also getting more, as well as exclusive Nintendo games.

But yea, overpriced like a mother-fucker. Not even a new game. I ended up buying it just to get an active community. Got 50-60 hours out of it, can't really complain too much.

It was only game on GameCube, so clearly every Nintendo fan already played it.

At last, portable RE4. I wanted a port for 3DS long ago, but this is awesomer. Quadruple dip! :P I have it on GC, Wii and PC.

Doubt it will happen, but I wish Capcom would go into the code for the PS4/XB1 version of RE4 that it’ll be porting over to the Switch and add the ability to use pointer controls via the Joy-con.

Actually I never bothered with replaying it after the original GameCube release as I played through that at least 4 times... So, I will pick this up.

What a time we live in to have RE4 and Dark Souls on a portable. Wish this was a thing years ago though lol.

they added it to revelations on switch and worked just like re4 on the wii. so it is possible.

if they add gyro ill rebuy it. and hopefully the graphics will be somewhat on par with ps4/x1? could have an argument for best console version.

@xh117: it was. If you have a laptop these games are both cheap and portable.

I have only bought the Gamcube version and PS4 port. It's a good game, but I don't understand the people who continue to buy every port of this game lol. I much prefer the classic re games forever and always.

I've never played RE4 and I have no Switch, oh well.

Yeah that's a big fat no-thank-you, RE4 has not aged well to me. Good for the hardcore RE fans I suppose.
