Popular Gaming YouTuber is worried about Starfield

To summarize the video -

1. It's been a long time since Bethesda produced a hit and since then the gaming industry has evolved.
2. Bethesda games have always had an issue with bugs and that he sees another delay coming.
3. Halo Infinite ended up having issues at launch and they're still trying to complete it.

What do you think, SW? Does this popular gaming YouTuber have valid points? Do you agree or disagree with him?

People will find anything to complain about. I saw a video on the Dead Space Remake about how they're running it, and all that was mentioned in the ten minute video was how they changed a scene you could potentially miss in the original with a cutscene that you can't miss.

Watching this video made me feel like i wasted 13 minutes of my life, i don't see that man making any solid argument, Bethesda knows how big this game is they wouldn't goof up, unless they're really stupid.

I mean, Bethesda hasn't produced and released a polished game in a very long time. lol

Also, I can't disagree with concerns about Starfield.

The last good project the studio produced was in 2011 with Skyrim.

Games like the Witcher 3 make Bethesda games appear unpolished in comparison.

I hope the game is amazing, but I am definitely keeping my hype in check.

He's more PC, or manticore I would say. He's stated in the past he talks about Nintendo because that's where the bigger audience is that gives him greater YouTube revenue.

That's what a lot of you don't seem to understand about these YouTube channels. Most of them cater to their adopted audiences that bring in the most revenue and less to do with fanboyism. Fanboyism is projection by the fanboys.

I've watched some of his videos. They were awful.

That said, I've always thought Starfield looks terrible from what the very little they've shown. Showing so little of a game isn't a good sign either.

It always makes me roll my eyes when I hear someone say they are worried about some piece of entertainment. Why? There are so many examples in the last decade of games bombing because of so many different reasons, why pick now to be worried about anything?

If anything the more apt word to use is "tired" because all of the failures in this industry have just become tiring. Over and over and over again. Mass effect 3, No Mans Sky, Fallout 76, Anthem, Cyberpunk, Destiny, etc.

Yeah I'm so worried. Whatever will I do? Oh I know, just not give them my money. Simple as that. There! No more worry.

Bethesda's game design being outdated even since Oblivion
Track record of buginess
The fact that the game seems to do little more than combine the character system of Skyrim with the combat system of Fallout

I didn't watch the video because I don't really care about random youtubers. They are a dime a dozen. I will say that Besthesda usually has good games that release full of bugs. Fallout 76 and Fallout 4 weren't very well received. Although FO4 is way better than 76. I liked FO4, but I got bored of it eventually.

I do like Besthesda games regardless and I hope Starfield will be great. I just don't know how it will turn out. Here's hoping for the best.

No need for a youtuber. It's Bethesda. It's Microsoft. It's Bethesda AND Microsoft. Tripple the concern. At least.

Gaming is hard.

Man I'm the biggest hater of Starfield and can honestly say this video does nothing for me. Like a hand*** from your imaginary girlfriend named Stacy.

People who worry about Starfield are expecting more than what it actually is, or don't know who Bethesda Game Studios are and what they do.

People who know exactly who BGS are, what kind of games they make and how they make them know exactly what to expect and are not worried at all... ...unless they deviate from their bread-and-butter and try to do, say, an online multiplayer survival game. Thankfully, they have never been stupid enough to try that. Nope. Never.

I'm expecting a nice blank canvas to wait a few patches for before modding it to Hell and back into my personal little masterpiece. Nothing more.

@jaydan: I've just only heard him talk about Nintendo. I am sure that's due to his audience, but he does sales videos and everything for the Switch. He's deep into that world so it's weird hearing him talk about Starfield.

I own all consoles and a pc, so I'm far from a fanboy. I praise a company when it's deserved and I call fault when I see it. At the end of the day, I just want to play good games and I always hope games are good before they release.

I have seen him go on record talking about other platforms and he's definitely manticore. I also see him criticizing Nintendo.

I've already seen him concede and admit when he's wrong about stuff. That's a lot better than the majority of System Warriors here that can never admit to being wrong.

Unlike cyberpunk and Halo where I always have reservation about, I have no doubt Bethesda can do it..... But yeah it probably gonna suck. I am biased I love Fallout 3 and New Vegas and always give Bethesda chances even though they recently repeatedly shitting everyone.
