Right off the bat I can say Assassin's Creed. For whatever reason, I just couldn't get into that series. The gameplay is boring to me. I also don't care about the story or characters. I'm sure there are other franchises but that one stands out to me. How about you, SW?

Yeah, cosign on Asscreed. I was sooo hyped for the first one, such a complete disappointment. Tried one of the sequels and it was much improved, but still meh.

GTA is probably the biggest one. I always buy them because they are always insane technical achievements. But for me, the games are like amazing tech demos. The actual playing it part doesn't do anything for me.

I'm going to be yet another to say Assassin's Creed, also Cod, Uncharted, and Fallout 3.

Can't really say I didn't get into Persona 4 because I put about 80 hours into the game, but at that point I just couldn't do it anymore. It was the dungeons. They got too repetitive for me, and you're supposed to play through each one twice. I loved everything else about the game though. That's why I made it through 80 hours.

Lots, but the biggest three are Metal Gear, Resident Evil, and Rockstar games in general.

Halo -- played the first one and forgot it a minute later

Assassins Creed -- couldn't even finish the first one. Too repetitive and easy.

COD -- played COD4, it's a good game but not my thing.

GTA4 -- I couldn't get into it, never finished it. I liked the older ones though.

Call of Duty. There are very few "realistic" FPS shooters that I've enjoyed, Medal of Honor: Frontline and Rising Sun, and Battlefield: Bad Company 2, probably been the only ones. But, when CoD4 blew up, I gave it a shot. From the beginning of it's craze, I've never understood the appeal. I got it home, beat the campaign in a few hours and was incredibly underwhelmed. Played multiplayer for a weekend, and then went back to Halo 3 and Gears of War.

I just don't understand why this of all games, was the one to take off. I could have understood Battlefield, even if I wasn't a fan outside of BC2, because it's mechanics are still solid, and it feels like it at least tries. I got none of that from CoD. I get that it's simple, pickup and play, so I can see why it might have gathered a following but to take off the way it did, and become the poster child for all of gaming last gen and almost single handedly change the course of the entire industry, I'll never understand how that happened.

Final Fantasy- they're all bad games.

WoW-Ive always wanted to get into an MMO but Ive never had a group to play with.

DOTA/LOL-everyone knows the only good MOBA is Smite

Ratchet and Clank-I played a bunch of the collection recently and they're just boring games

Jak and Daxter-Jak looks stupid

Banjo Kazooie-It came out on the platform that already had Mario 64. What's the point?

Halo, Yeah I like Reach but that's it, not bad games by any means, it's just not for me.

Ratched & Clank, not my cup.

Resistance, the gmaeplay always felt cluncky, like I was playing a PS2 game with decent graphics.

Final Fantasy, I don't liek games with that kind of combat.

You're not wrong about AC. The whole series is so overrated.

I never got into the Final Fantasy series because I played CT before I played any FF game and it was like a FF killer for me.

And I never got into CS:Go because you have to wait when you die and I don't like that. I like the stakes, I don't like having to go through that a 100 times before you can get good at it.

Didn't get into COD because of the online code on PC. I have a pretty stable fast fiber connection and that meant I got a lot of fake lag. The killcams were so off that it was borderline unplayable. I tried two COD's and both had the same problem. (I think it was Black Ops 2 and Modern Warfare.) Titanfall 1 also had this problem at launch and I uninstalled it pretty quickly. I don't mind lag when it stays below 150 or so, but seeing yourself stand somewhere for a second even though on your end you couldn't even see the enemy before you got shot, that becomes very frustrating very quickly. I never had this problem with indie or other AAA FPS titles.

And I never got into fighting game series like Street Fighter because of their poor tutorials, and the huge roster and the combo timings and buttons they use. Almost got into 4. I even have arcade sticks that I could use to play it. I used some youtube vids and had a daily routine to practice getting used to some combo's. It just takes too long to learn all the combo's of all the characters and to be able to use them reliably. Especially to be able to use them reliably. That was a problem for me. A bit like CS:Go I don't want to go through a 40+ hour learning period that is no fun before getting to the fun. That's also why I don't play LoL or DOTA. Or even WoW raids. I don't want to study a game before being able to play it. I love Monster Hunter and you could call that a dense game, but the journey was fun to me. It wasn't pure frustration or being called names. You can accomplish at least some things while you are learning the game in Monster Hunter.

Metal Gear (Besides revengeance. So good)

Final Fantasy

GTA

Uncharted

Mine craft

Those would be the biggest ones I can think of. I either didn't like them or have no interest in playing them.

I played like half of Halo 1 and tried very, very, very hard to finish Halo Reach but just couldn't bring myself to do it and came to the realization that I am just not particularly interested in the story or the gameplay.

Never got into or owned any Metal Gear games, although I've never really been big on stealth games

I love RE 4 but never played any of the other ones. I was interested in 5 but never got around to playing it.

Bought Crisis Core for PSP when it came out in an effort to get into FF but it just wasn't happening. The game was actually not that bad but it didn't really give me any extra interest in the franchise the way I thought it might

Gears of War. It is very ugly and dull. I know the original's cover mechanic was a trend setter (despite being before Kill Switch, and before that Winback), but it's something I always found to be thoroughly unenjoyable.

Zelda. I played a bit Ocarina of Time on the 3DS but it was no fun at all and the camera was abysmal. If someone has a compelling reason why I should continue playing please share (no spoilers plz) because I feel like I'm missing something.

Assassin's Creed as well. It's a slick looking series and the historical art design is nice. I'm just not big on Stealth games, I do enjoy them from time to time but this game didn't click with me. The other main reason would be the story, it just doesn't interest me because you are like playing in a dream or something(in Assasin's Creed 2 anyways), I just never got into it. Dishonored, for example, I enjoyed that game very much even though there is stealth in it.

I will say however that Assassin's Creed 4 is nice because of the ship sections. Those are fun and that would be the only one I enjoyed but that is because it wasn't really the usual Assassins Creed gameplay. I didn't really finish it but played it with some friends and it was fun. It's cool how you can go downstairs in the boat and customize that room.....going to play it more seriously when time permits.

That's a pretty long list. If we're talking about games I actually tried to but couldn't, I guess the king is MGS. I bought 2, was underwhelmed, and haven't enjoyed one since.

Civilization - Love 4X games with well-realized combat. This isn't that.

Gran Turismo - Still don't get what's the big deal.

Street Fighter - Don't like the pace and button layout.

Company Of Heroes - Men Of War came out like 2 years before it and was more fun for me.

Tales Of - JRPGs can have many faults, but bland uninspired setting and characters is not one i'm willing to forgive.

Heroes of Might & Magic - Don't see any value in it outside of playing hot seat mode with friends back when the internet wasn't around.

Halo - Mediocrity.

Gears of War - Brown mediocrity.
