Pokemon Sun & Moon Starters and Legendary's confirmed

I love all three starters, for the first time since gen 2. I'm probably gonna go with the little firecat, or the Owl though, as I've gone water the last two gens.

Also, picking Sun for sure now. The Lion looks so much better than whatever the moon legend is supposed to be.

I also love the new camera angle, we saw bits like this in XY/ORAS, but for the whole game to be like this is awesome.

Oh man, the new region looks awesome. It actually reminds me a lot of Hoenn.

The game looks very nice! November 18 feels so far away, but loads of hype coming about the new 'mon. Love seeing all the new creatures on the road to the game.

Not a big fan of the designs on display. May end up going Fire this round and choose the fire-cat.

Legendaries are badass. That Moon Legendary (a bat?) feels so unlike anything we've seen from them so it's pretty rad. Haven't decided what game I'm getting first yet.

There's only one starter that looks even remotely good and that's the Grass/Flying one. I much prefer the Moon legendary to the Sun legendary.

It's pretty sweet that it's going full 3D. Now for media blackout.

That's... an interesting design lol. I like the Sun legendary more, but I am going with Moon, so I guess I'm stuck with Batmoon, then.

I love the new camera angle- this is what they should have gone for with the Gen 6 games, instead of that hybrid isometric 3D crap. It makes the new region look so good already. Hopefully it will also be controllable on New 3DS systems. I'd love to be able to take in my surroundings in a Pokemon game for a change.

Anyway, Hawaii is a great choice for a new region. Getting Hoenn vibes from it all. @Blab ought to be pleased.

@Zassimick: @charizard1605: I was expecting something cool like a pegasus for moon, not an Olympia look-a-like. I will say that I'm starting to like Lunaala and I already know he's dark type, so Pokemon Moon is for me. That ain't Batman, that's Man-Bat.

In the Japanese trailer, the kid chooses his hair and skin color! It's in the trailer, please pay attention next time.

The owl is objectively and indisputably the best starter.

I like the Sun legendary a bit more, but I'm still going with Moon. I hate summer.

So because I've always wanted an owl as a pet looks like I'll start with Rowlet. I'm curious about that sun's legendary. Like can he actual shoot sun's at pokemon and they get instantly knocked out?

I will be picking the owl starter and picking up whichever version is opposite the one my son wants.

Yeah, we've got FOUR skin tones now. White, also white, tan, and black.

And the overworld avatar changed clothing colours a few times.

I'm flip-flopping, even in the 30 minutes I've seen the trailer. Oh that Moon legendary is really cool! The Sun legend is a strong design and I like that. Then again, there's not much like the Moon legend. :P Plenty of time to decide!

It would make sense that he's Dark type, but it will be disappointing if it's Dark/Flying again since we just had Yveltal. Not a deal breaker by any means, but a touch disappointing.

Purely based on knowing these starters for 2 minutes, I'm going with the Grass/Flying mainly because it's an Owl Pokemon. Might have to see what their evolution's are like though... I'm guessing the Fire Starter is going to be Fire/Dark eventually is what I'm speculating, I think Gamefreak is going back to the old ways starter Pokemon with grass getting duel type early just like Bulbasaur did it with grass/poison.

I'm getting Pokemon Moon and Lunaala looks great in my opinion, another legendary dark type Pokemon I wanna have on my team.

What I am curious about is whether or not they will have proper lore this time (and whether or not they will do it justice- they dropped the ball on that with X and Y).

So hyped. November can't come soon enough. Will probably go with the grass owl.

This Japanese trailer is the very best. They should have done something like this for the west too.

I guessed right that the legend would be based on Singapore mythology as well as baaed on a paradise like Singapore. It's more of a mix of Singapore and Hawaii

He is going to have the best evolution. You just watch!

I think it's about time the water starter Pokemon get's a water/ice type for it's final form, I forgot what's the other seal Pokemon's name from gen 1, that too was a water/ice as well.

This looks pretty damn good actually. I haven't played a pokemon game since Heartgold/Soul Silver. I'm guessing, a lot has changed since then. I really, really hated the pokemon designs for Pokemon Black/White.

I'm considering picking up Alpha Sapphire.

Updated the first post with the Japanese trailer. It's actually a really sweet trailer, not as "in your face" as the English one, but in a lot of ways I actually like it more.

The Pokemon design for the legendaries are starting to remind me of Digimon .

This is pretty cool as far as diverging from the series goes.

I really don't like any of the starters that much. If I had to choose based off their first designs, I'd say grass> fire >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> water. Don't particularly care for the legendaries, either, although I like the bat thing more.

I might go with the fire kitty, but that owl is so cute and I bet it's final form is gonna look badass.

While it looks nice i am simply and completely done with pokemon and nintendo as a whole, the franchise isnt as fun as it used to be when i was a kid, im tired of choosing one of 3 pokemons, fighting 8 gyms or whatever then winning a tournament and picking up a masterball to catch a legendary pokemon hiding in a random cave, there's a limit to how many times i can do that with this franchise lol

And yet, you'll have no problem playing through a 5 hour Michael bay style campaign, followed by countless hours and the same Mp maps with the same generic action against kids talking about each others mothers?

I really like the grass starter. Looks like my starter and Flyer will be all in one this time.

Not really a big fan of cats so I'll be skipping the fire starter for the 7th generation in a row. I haven't played X/Y yet but I don't care for the fire starter there either.

This was my first thought too! Oceans and volcanoes everywhere. I wonder if there'll be a lot of surfing.
