On Friday, Riot Games released a video detailing some of the things coming to the League of Legends universe in 2021. Among those announcements was a new update on League of Legends: Wild Rift — the new console and mobile version of the MOBA — including the fact that North American players will get their chance to test the game starting in March.

According to the announcement, Wild Rift will add an average of two new champions a month throughout 2021. The game will also get its own version of the PC version’s popular ARAM mode, which puts players on a random champion in a special one-lane map to battle it out. Wild Rift will also begin its first ranked season in 2021, and share many of the same special events that League of Legends proper will host, including the Lunar Beasts new year celebration.

League of Legends is pc heavy hitter. You can play it on your phone soon. So all those nvidia 3090’s will be playing microsoft excep and turbo tax with their very slow hard drives compared to the lightning fast ps5 drives. Ps5 is so easy to have a premium experience a baby could do it! What left is there to play on pc now? World of warcraft? A game so dumbed down a decade later you might as well push a giant red button and drool into your bed pan?

I though it was Half Life Alyx.

Best? Hardly. Nobody who plays LoL actually enjoys playing LoL.

Monstrously popular? Sure, but then so is Call of Duty and chlamydia.

starcraft, diablo 1-2, warcraft 1-3, wow classic, everquest, daoc, half-life 1-2, dota 1

I am sick of this NEW PC age and the new PC players they aren't my friends they are part of my commmunity

diablo 3 is trash compared to diablo 2

starcrfat 2 is trash compared to starcraft 1

new wow expansions suck compared to vanilla

dota 1 > dota 2

half life alyx is garbo compared to half-life 1-2

i am tired of these "new" pc gamers or whatever there called now a days im done with PC im moved on to switch lite and you should all too they have actual games liek BOTW and stuff on it.

@ProtossRushX: true. You can pretty much get the major PC games on consoles now. and do the rest of what PC does best back then on our phones. PC was great late 90's to 2010.

I don't choose my gaming platform based on if other people can play the same games I can on other platforms or not. I enjoy playing the same games way more on PC so your point is meaningless to me.

As a PC player, I certainly wouldn't call LoL PC's best exclusive. Also, PC players tend not to be the kind of tribal fanboy that cares about exclusivity. Why the heck would I care if someone on another platform was able to play the same games as me?

Tencent/Riot seems to be investing heavily in expanding the LOL user base. I remember they have also announced an LOL fighting game, card game, and a mobile game to get more users.

Playstation, and Nintendo were also much better in the 90s and early 2000s. Gaming as a whole is on a 20 year slide.

Yes graphics are better than ever on all platforms. I don't think that is what he was referring to, I think he meant how good he felt the games were.

There's also an MMO and a RPG coming out. Latter is called The Ruined King, and plays like Battlechasers. Even got the dude who did the Darksiders art for it, Joe Madureira.

Oh yeah, that's right. Also, an LOL anime series called Arcane is coming:) They seem to have so much extra cash to burn. Of course, it's no wonder given LOL's long-standing popularity and number of users.

Who cares? Games are supposed to be enjoyed by anyone & everyone despite whatever platform u choosed not handicapped, restricted or behind exclusivity or pay walls.

Never did care for League of Legends but at the same time, I'm shock this took so long!

Except for the 100's of millions all over the world that love PC gaming.
