ghost in a shell: stand alone complex quite a nice little run it had as an anime/manag franchise and now she is coming to pc gaming. as an MMOFPS due out in 2014. its current working title is just that: GiaS:SAC

Aw why an MMO? I love the cyberstuff so YAY to that.
Weird that they didn't want to let the probably far superior CDprojekt use the license.
Though judging by the trailer they want to go 'less sense, more anime' with the license.
Maybe it is for the best then, as I want a futuristic game from CDprojekt that in ways really questions our actual future.

As much as I love GitS, previous attempts at turning the franchise into a videogame have been very eh and I'm not holding out that this will be any different.
All the same, PC exclusive is quite interesting. Here's to hoping.

When MMOFPS was mentioned I lost all hope of it being good.

This series as a game has a lot of potential but it will fail as an MMOFPS.

All I read was that PC wins again!

I was interested until I saw MMOFPS. WHY DON'T THEY MAKE THIS INTO A SINGLEPLAYER RPG? Seriously, if a good team made a legit RPG with the same themes that made the anime so good it would print money.

I can't wait to tell mai waifu.

is not the characters, it's the fact that the one who wrote the story is Tow Ubutaka and that guy has no talent despite the hype. Have you ever seen Mardock Scramble? I have only seen the first 2 movies but what a joke they are... Homosexual dolphin,  inter-dimensional mouse, a man with a vagina on his hand and what about the multiple symbolism?  Its like he read the first page of Symbolism for Dummies but got totally the wrong idea from it. And not to mention the awfully broken pace of the movies. It's soooooo bad, pretentious, boring.   :o

Another thing is, the Major's supposed to be a strong looking woman but here she looks like an anorexic weak looking child. The art-style is fine, I think that's the only thing they got right on those Mardock Scramble movies (except for the fluorescent floating streets that's it; totally tacky) and on the new GitS reboot.

Even fans can make better redesigns.
