Alyx is really stressing the poor soul. He and Tormentos both are getting sleepless nights. One is jelly he can't play a game and the other is worried the plastic box from his preferred corporation could be less than the plastic box from the corporation he hates.

@warmblur: You are a bit insensitive. Ghost has had a traumatic experience with VR from which he have not recovered. You don't know what its like to want VR and not be able to afford it. Then have Valve the company you adore rub it in your face on a daily basis. Just imagine how awful that must be. :D

This deserves a great rating, it’s a very decent port, at least of CE from what I’ve played so far. Odd that it only DLs Reach from Steam after purchase and an additional CE DL is necessary (both for SP and MP).
I don’t care for the “Master Race” BS, but man is it glorious to play this at 60+ in high rez with no loading times, an adjustable FOV, customizable controls, and additional tweaks.

The only thing you can't seem to comprehend is that we have figured you out, you came into the HL Alyx thread with little to no interest in even watching those video's of the game, even if the game was a PERFECT VR game on release with 10/10 scores you would still not like it without even playing it.
We know your type of psychology its no different from console gamer's who hate on PC without ever owning a gaming PC.
I get it we have different tastes and genres we prefer or platforms we would rather play on but you are not fooling anyone.

Then no offence you don't know what Half Life was if you think this path is wrong, Valve with Half Life 2 literally took the approach of deliberately slowing down game play and giving the gamer puzzles and lets you stay in area's to soak up atmosphere.
Half Life 2 was all about atmosphere and puzzles taking HL into VR with a spin off is brilliant idea.
As for you being a old man?... I am a 32 year old with a wife and daughter with a mortgage, my first GPU was a MX 440 that I up-graded to a 7600GT specifically for HL2.
Hating something you haven't used enough to form a opinion is just a fart in the wind.
As someone who has owned a VR headset for a while now and used it for 200+ hours... The only down side with VR now is the software, the hardware has become affordable and visually stunning with the Rift S at $400, all we need now is games.

This is the moment that Halo become better than new Half life which become teleport on rail shooter. atleast in Halo and i can shoot while moving.
Nothing but internet nonsense. Halo CE multiplayer on the original Xbox is probably the best multiplayer experience I've ever had, but this weird bastardized version is just wrong. Maybe with the tireless efforts of modders, this could become something good, but this level of praise is merely the song of delusional.
343 (hell, bungie too!) has demonstrated over and over that they have no clue what made CE's multiplayer the masterpiece that it is. How can anyone with a brain actually support this nonsense? I bought the Collection a few weeks ago. Started playing Reach. Hopefully I won't feel asleep.

To be fair, playing Reach in this day and age was pretty boring. It didn't hold up well, imo. It just felt so basic and uninspired to me. Halo: CE is probably more fun to play today than Reach, if not only because of the nostalgia.
No idea why you'd buy a collection of a series that can put you to sleep though. Unless you just want to be able to complain about it properly on forums, of course..

I don't know, but he might be referring to the few PC gamers back in 2003 who thought the popularity of Halo would turn all FPSs into slow and floaty games. That's a legit worry, I'd say. Since CoD got massively popular, developers started aping that series every chance they got.
At the time, I didn't really give a shit and had a great time with the PC version of Halo: CE, while also playing my other fast paced FPSs.
It's more surprising considering the fact that Halo CE has been on pc ever since it first came out. Maybe they're just praising the new remastered graphics? Or maybe it's just because the mp can actually go online now. I think Halo CE on pc already has a ton of mods too like the ever so popular "SPVC" or whatever the heck it's called.
