And yeah, even vanilla GTA 4 on the PC looks and plays signifficantly better than console versions. Saw my friend playing on his 360 back in the day, it just looks so dull and lifeless, pop-up everywhere, empty streets with minimal number of cars and pedestrians, etc...

Just sad, as far as I'm concerned, playing a large and detailed open world game on a console is like drinking fine wine from a dirty glass. A good chunk of the experience is simply ruined...

The input lag is something that effects the minority and its usually people with weak PCs. It also happens in console games, like Killzone 2 for example but it effects everyone who bought it not just a few, I remember you console gamers liked to call it "wight simulation" ( lol ) because you didnt have a clue what input lag was.

Its good to see you console kids are learning though. Soon youll all be able to press next on an installer window so that you can use PCs to game on and understand how to Google a problem when one crops up instead of just having to deal with it until you get a patch fix from the developer, ( if you ever do ) like you do on consoles.

Have a nice Chrimbo though, I hope you get some decent last year PS3 games off Santa since there werent that many worth buying this year. :(

Looks like it's going to be an amazing year! Why can't I hold all of these exclusives?

Lol at the usual consolite butthurtedness "none of these guys appeal to me, they look horrible" (= I have no idea what I'm talking about, since all I play are games with a budget that consists in 50% TV advertising).

So next year, PC gamers will again need to choose carefully.. There are too many good games out there, some with huge replayability... From that list, there are over a dozen that I'm waiting for, some that I'm really hyped for.

Oh, and TC, FYI Star Citizen is scheduled for release in 2014 (that game alone will probably make the Nextbox and PS4 look last-gen already). It's the alpha and beta (for crowdfunding pledgers like me) that should be available in 2013.

You may be right, or you may be not, but that's not that relevant for the games I was talking about.Epic, SimBin, Bohemia Interactive and Egosoft are developers that already have a huge and successful history behind them.

I was talking about a bunch of low budget indie titles in this list that look like a complete crap, but for some reason many gamers consider them as a holy grail of PC gaming, and that's just because they look "retro".

I don't see how it's not relevant for those games/studios. They are indie though not in the term that gamers have become accustomed to using.

Which of those "low-budget" games look like complete crap. I do see your point however about the whole retro feel having a "holy grail" associated with it. I do enjoy both styles though and thats not to detract from the work that goes into some of these "low budget" titles which alot of people seem to completely underestimate.

People also seem to be misusing the word "Niche"

Might look into Asylum and Amnesia: Machine for Pigs, and I looking forward to Double Fine adventure game and also thechineseroom's Everybody's Gone to the Rapture.

All i can is that im very glad i dont game on PC.. i would have quit gaming already if all i had to play are those games.

Sorry but I don't see why this list is amazing.

SC II is great but I'm getting the complete edition when all 3 campaigns are available, I'm more of a SP guy.

Looking forward to the new environments in Trackmania 2. Stadium especially.

Some of the unproven "indie" or "$10" games could turn out great, will be on the lookout for these.

I'm also into C&C but Generals is my least favorite of the bunch, we'll see. New dev also.

Other than that, games look generic. Ofc for multiplats PC is the best place.

The Last of Us is single-handedly better than all of those games.

Most of them are supposed to release in 2013, could be some are postponed, that can always happen.

Some like Starcitizen are 2014. Creative assembly said Rome 2 will be end of 2013 at the earliest, so that could be 2014 as well.

Yawn. All fixable, and doesn't effect everyone. I've played through GTA4 on PC with a 360 controller, and a PS3 controller, using Motioninjoy. No input lag. Works perfectly. And trophies? Well, I couldn't give a sh!t less about this generation's craze of achievements, trophies, other such superfluous nonsense, but even if I did, I've got steam and/or GFWL achievements for damn near everything.

The PC version of GTA 4 is overrated, it's hardly any different from the console versions.

Why spend all that money upgrading it and having lag input (maybe not you, but many do) when you could have just played it for cheaper on consoles and have it look the same?
