PC exclusive Crime Boss: Rockay City scores 51 on MC

While the PS5 and Switch are getting big AAA exclusives like FFXVI and Tears of the Kingdom, PC recently got this as a big(?) exclusive game.

I remember when this title was announced at TGA last year, some Hermits had high hopes for it. Now that it has been released, how does it feel to play it in 8K on your $2000 rig?

I don't even remember Crime Boss: Rockay City being PC exclusive at all. All I remember is this game is coming to other platforms this coming June.

Generally what gets hits now with PC is word of mouth games the actual game media and Publishers don't give a **** about. And it's actually PC that creates the trend that eventually transitions over to console.

Like, remember shit like DayZ and Gamespot desperately scrambling to jump aboard that train months/years later because they were too engorged in big publishers and generally didn't give a shit about Arma, even though, that is, actually huge on PC.

Never heard of the game, but a simple Google search says that it's on Xbox and Playstation as well. And FFXVI isn't a PS5 exclusive either.. But anyway, to answer the question, it feels fantastic playing games on a 2K rig.

I think I didn't even hear about this game until a month or two ago, and nothing about it until literally this thread popped up.

Also, is it an actual exclusive? Or is it just on PC (and more of an incidental, not-planned "exclusive"). There's a pretty big difference between intentionally denying a product to a specific platform as marketing (as consoles do) and simply making a game for one platform for practical reasons. For example, DCS World is a PC "exclusive" but I wouldn't really claim that title because I don't think study sims would fare well on a PS5.

I'm really shocked to hear mostly everyone saying they never heard of this game at all when it was revealed over at the VGA 2022 but I for one didn't expect this to be PC exclusives at all when it's coming to consoles this June. Judging by the reception, this wasn't marketed well even though it has big Hollywood names to go with it.

Saw a bit of gameplay on twitch, and i was amazed at the mission structure. You defend X from waves of enemies that all look the same, and when that's done, the mission is over. The next mission is to defend another thing, and when that's done, the mission is over. WTF is that!? Literally pathetic.

But at least it has one surprising positive, and that's the gunplay. Its actually superior to many AA and even AAA titles lmao. At least from what i saw.

I remember seeing this at the Video Game Awards. Didn’t think that it was exclusive to PC. Also didn’t think anyone was hyping it. In fact I thought it was the opposite really.

Still looks better than TLOU on PC ATM, 3-4x the user satisfaction at nearly 1/2 the price, it's clearly the better game.

Hard to say as I'm too lazy to find the VGA 2022 thread. You'll have to ask SolidGame_basic on that.

Nobody was hyping this as an exclusive or the game in general. It is a waste of a cool cast though. Shame.
