2004 is when the previous generation began. It's as good a starting point as any. Also, downloadable is not inferior to retail and handheld is not inferior to console. Also, it's unfair for Nintendo to remove their handheld offerings because they are not like Sony, who only use their handhelds for worthless B-efforts of console games and Microsoft....which doesn't do handhelds at all.the podcast was talkin about 360 ps3 Wii in that context, so including handheld tiny ips doesnt' change their podcast point. there are millions of people that buy home consoles and will never touch handhelds. they bought wii and want new retail ips for wii, reading about handhelds new ips doesn't change the wii gaming experience.
the podcast can just say "retail console new ips" i guess, if tehy want to keep you happy, but there point remains the same.
nintendo does need to stop up more retail ips for people that buy wii and wii u.
