Man those guns have no weight to them, no bueno.

@walloftruth: but 90% of the time we don't wait....at all.
That's why your statement is too stupid to follow.
I think this game looks really fun and it's surprising to see Blizzard's new IP look so promising and different from anything else they've done, but like I said before, the payment model for this game is what's going to decide whether it sinks or floats.
B2P? Good. F2P? Okay, but as long as it's the same as TF2 or DOTA 2. F2P where you have to pay like $5 for every hero with a small amount of heroes on weekly free rotation? **** that.

I'd prefer Buy to Play but a lot of people praised Hearthstone's F2P model too, so...
I think they should go with B2P and it'll sell millions of copies (as every Blizzard game does)... Then after few years, make it F2P.
So? how many of this sort of games are? the only noteworthy i know is Team Fortress 2 and maybe Counter Strike (althought, that one looks quite different) i mean people is like "another one of this, so boring"...yet nobody ever mentions what other games are...but sure, let's forget that yet another Uncharted and another Halo are in the making right now.
Anyway, game looks really fun, i can see how some of the classes will be underused so hopefully Blizzard will balance this game, can't wait for the Beta.

Fanboys man.
Looks like another twitch shooter. *yawn*
I expect this to get hyped over the moon by PC zealots.
yup.
PASS
Should I book mark this for when it gets announced for PlayStation?
Do it. Just for fun.

How can you say "yup" when there actually aren't that many twitch shooters as he was likely just trolling.
I've already commented on how this games looks like a gen 6 game. I have other arena shooters at my disposal, no need for this.

What other twitch shooters this gen make this "yet another twitch shooter"?
The genre is far from "yet another" status. Very far. Feel free to prove me wrong with a list of games. Hell, has there been any new twitch shooter released at all this gen yet? What are you two lying for?

Who cares. This ones a dud and an easy pass.

There's a time I wouldn't have agreed with this, sadly that's not the case now.
It's virtually impossible for Overwatch to match Team Fortress 2 content wise. or most, if not all FPS for that matter.
I'm gonna try something edgy and amazing, it will totally stun you guys...
II'm going to wait for it to release, then! ................i'm going to play it,and then! even more suprisingly i'm going to come up with an informed opinion..crazy i know.
Or i could just SW and call it shit without playing it or knowing anything about it just because it's on PC or the graphics look last gen,or i could praise it to the sun just because it's simply made by Blizzard......yep actually i think i will go with one of those 2 they makes much more sense...................

Not enough dvd menu gameplay with animu characters : (
On topic: Game looks rad, the PC snobs playing the Call of Duty/halo card with Aljosa is actually hilarious, and now they are butthurt about the fact that someone called them elitist like it isn't a reality.
Right? Though lack of self awareness from PC fanboys isn't anything new. These are the same weirdos who say "PC gaming master race" totally un-ironically.

Don't waste your time. Bloodborne, the game they praise to heaven looks like a 2003 game with no lip sync like it's 1998 or something... It's just fanboism. "Sony YOU DA MAN !!!" etc.
Well that's your opinion, I'm merely correcting the whole "ahh man another twitch shooter?" you two quoted.
It's factually incorrect. The genre is relatively very rare.
A few things
Being a twitch shooter is pretty broad so can we get back to calling these games what they actually are, arena shooters, CoD by its nature is a twitch shooter because that's all that game is. It's no Tribes or Unreal Tournament, an arena shooter, but the whole game is just quick scope, and shoot. Second even if the arena shooter had a dry spell, simply bringing back shit that died out (not necessarily because of a lack of quality) doesn't invalidate that there was an entire era of these type of games. There are plenty of people that looked at the early round of indie stuff as another side scroller or another rogue like or whatever, before what all of that became today.
So yeah with all do respect nothing this game, Unreal Tournament, Toxikk, or quite a few in the early access space have shown is anything fresh. More of a bringing an older style game back, it's not new, but he's not wrong in saying "another one". Because it is another one. It has yet to show us something that we haven't actually seen before.
And before you go that route
"Bloodborne was just another Souls" exactly. It's not some detriment or indication of quality, it's just a statement of fact.

It's almost like the superficial shit doesn't really matter when the actual playing the game part is fantastic? Who fucking knew.

Hah, pretty much in the same league with Activision stable mate Bungie.
Let the conspiracies begin!

That certainly isn't what CoD is. And there isn't many TF2 style twitchshooters like OverWatch.

It's a game built simple ass reaction times, it's a stupid term. Arena shooter was a better term anyway.
A shorter quantity doesn't mean "another one of those" doesn't apply. If there is zero of them, then him saying "oh it's another one of those" doesn't really fit, but as it stands class based shooters or even class based arena shit isn't some holy unique thing.

Not it doesn't. Twitch shooters are near dead atm....Not even a full release of one this gen yet.
You're really reaching.

No you're pretending that a bunch of words don't mean what they actually mean.
You like narrowing video games down to a handful of years, I'm not going to pretend entire decades of gaming didn't exist. This isn't something we've never seen, this is something we haven't seen in awhile. It's not a new thing, it's another one of those things.
And near dead in what way? It's basically a few months away from being cRPG territory of having a renaissance with Unreal Tournament, Toxikk, this, Blue Streak, and a few other early access games. For some wannabee PC gamer you're pretty ignorant to actual PC gaming.

Are you talking about the lack of matchmaking in raids etc?
Everything else about Destiny's online infrastructure has been on point, and they're doing it across four systems. But they've been good at online infrastructure since Halo 2 days.

I think you mean arena shooter. They're not rare.
But Overwatch is more like a first person MOBA by the looks of things anyway.

No matchmaking for raids, no matchamking for coop story missions, no proximity chat so you need to use PSN voice chat, at least no proximity chat in the hub area or the game world, no custom games, point is that game was missing shit Halo had.

The only one that I couldn't justify is no matchmaking for co-op story missions. It's a glaring omission in what they're trying to achieve.
The rest of them seem to be design choices, for better or for worse. For endgame content, Bungie are pretty adamant they want people to form their own teams outside the game (they denied people MM with Prison of Elders). Because there really are idiots who mess up the game. It's already bad when you and your five friends keep failing because one of your buddies can't get his shit together, you wanna just boot him after 20 attempts.
Chat is the same. They mentioned ages ago they didn't want any bullying or griefing, so you only have voice in your fireteam.
TL;DR The netcode is pretty damn strong and not prone to bullshit like GTA Online. Game is built for you and two friends, and you're asked to get another three friends to raid with once or twice a week.
They spent hundreds of millions on infrastructure. They need to spend more money on content. Your beef with them was always content, which they started choking on when they spent even more money on infrastructure back in 2004.

Shit ones.
The whole form your own squad thing sucks, because there is barely anything built in the game to help you get willing randoms. Solution go to neogaf.
"they didn't want any bullying or griefing" I'm sorry what are they Nintendo? They are oblivious to the mute people button? A thing their own game had, and I'm wanting to guess at least console they were probably the first few console devs to say "yo we probably need this".
I'm not questioning the net code, they got that right (it took them all the way until Halo Reach to actually get a stable netcode, but I digress). The shittyness of that game actually isn't surprising, one might argue that I fucking called it. But the way that studio went backwards in the shit that are; undeniable that they were ahead of the curve on when it came to console multiplayer is so jarring. I remember playing that game with Nav, and he straight asked me like "yo you're sure these are the dudes that made Halo right?" and I'm like yeah man...all that shit they had in Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo Reach, all of a sudden they were like **** it, why would an online game need any of this.

It actually looks better than expected. Of course hermits would bash the graphics if it was a console game but that's System Wars for you. Will give it a try some day. Counterstrike is still the only multiplayer shooter I play from time to time.

WEll if it was a console game, it wouldn't be a twitch shooter in the first place.
