The Good

Beautiful, ominous environments  

Fast-draining night vision camera keeps tensions high  

Highly effective sound design  

Absence of weapons requires smart uses of hiding spots  

Fascinating story told through documents and notes.

Lack of enemy variety causes some predictability  

Nonhuman enemies are not as scary.

The bad aspects listed are not that bad. For me, this game is buy. Especially for its current price tag. 

That's alright, will get the game eventually, seems interesting enough to give it a go. Was planning to pre-order, but ultimately, went only for Machine for Pigs.

Will wait for Sean to review/scream his way through it :P So many damned games at the minute. Rome2 and GTAV will swallow everything until FM14 arrives.blue_hazy_basic

Also the game is getting amazing reviews everywhere. SOunds really really good. Shame there's no bloody pre0load though, gonna have to wait till tomorrow maybe to play it :(

Just about no horror game doesn't lose some of its edge by the end of it as you'd have to be pretty daft not to eventually understand their patterns. 

So basically it's an Amnesia knockoff thats not very good. Thanks for the heads up guys, i'll wait for pigs. Big superior time.

Forgot all about the game. Didn't think it would be out until later on.

This. Not a single horror game remains scary or unpredictable right up until the end. Because at some point the horror has to stop and the narrative has to be wrapped up

It's on pc. I bought Rome II instead. The whole "ooga booga" no wep run around tight corridors has now been done to death.

It's easy money for lazy game designers.

I never bash games that score 7s. It´s usually consolites that play scores, especially after TLOU. If it was on me, I would count not only AAA/AA, but also As.

I might get it eventually.

Enemy variety doesn't really bother me. I just hope the atmosphere, and the environments are well done.

Amnesia only had one enemy, and I didn't even really care when I saw him a few hours into the game, but boy did Amnesia's environment keep my spine tingling throughout the rest of the game. Exploring in Amnesia was horrifying :(
