OMG....now I remember why I stick to single player on PC

So I'll be honest I only got through 2 and a half minutes of this but they started shooting cheats and hacks that were/are just ridiculous.

The main story: a cheat that causes you to crash cars and pay for damages with your GTA money....given that many ppl buy the cash with real money, draining your GTA bank account is essentially stealing your real money.

This all in a game where ppl just want to let lose.

The said something about some tag you get, maybe if you don't pay, so I'm not sure that you have to,but for fucks sake your blacklisted.

Same reason I stick to single player on console. Someone always takes $50 a year from me on the Xbox and PS4.

Wow! 66 million a quarter they make on GTA online ! Holy crap, and yeah it's sad people do this .

Yeah, but it's one game, and it'll be fixed. This isn't constantly happening all across PC gaming. It's the first time I've heard of a hack like this. Most games don't face hacker problems nowadays. It's just not as big a deal as it once was on PC gaming.

Sheesh, so much work just to be a d*ck.

I faced hackers in Warface twice (both of which were pretty obvious and didn't get kicked ) and once in CS:GO. The CS:GO player was using a wall-hack but still sucked. He got kicked within about 7-8 minutes. Other than that, nothing else.

Meanwhile what did happen to me and over a dozen mates on GTA Online:
Hackers gave us millions of in game money, cool weapons like the railgun and fireworks launcher (before it was added to the game), and much more cool stuff.

The worse I faced in GTA Online is getting blown up for no reason.

A hack able to steal GTA money from people in GTA Online is why you stick to single-player on PC? That's weird. What about all those other fun multi-player games on PC that has no such hacks?

I can't quite grasp the thought process you must of went through to come to this conclusion but I fear if this is enough to scare you from any online game then have fun entertaining yourself for next [insert number] years. Can't say one bad experience would put an average person off of playing online again simply because cheaters are active in some games more than others and the it's more than likely everyone will encounter one eventually.

I mean that is good life advise in general.

There were hacks on the original DC PSO that would take a character that someone put a 100 hours into to build up to a level 100 and turn them into a level 5. Happened to my daughter as a matter of fact, she never got back into PSO in quite the same way. That's when I went all out and made myself virtually bulletproof and hunted those kind of folks down in the game and gave them a taste of the SP wrath. :P

Pretty much everything "PC Online" is a hackfest.

People whine about XBL but $50/year is well worth it for professionally hosted servers.

Any popular console game can be hacked..... even more so these days.

Look at Diablo 3 on consoles... everyone is a fucking SP file modding cheating scumbag.

Not only pc players get their money stolen, even console gamers are defenseless against these hackers.

I think the fact that hacks for the console are not so widely accessible and arn't widely talked about makes them not so obvious and people believe the console isn't hackable. Compared with any popular PC game where there's atleast a 90% chance that there is an online hack for it somewhere on the internet.

So the bottom line is that you download a cheat to gain an unfair advantage in an online game and you get fucked for doing it. Good it serves them right.

Ironically, Diablo3 is absolutely a hacker and dupers paradise for the PS4 version. PC doesn't have to deal with this.

Secondly, while PC does have it's hacking issues, so does PS4. PC online is still overall extremely superior with a far larger library of highly active online games, modding, countless more users on Steam, free of charge, longer lives on its online games, and hosts pretty much damn near all of competitive gaming (both e-sports and home). Clearly the hacking can't be that bad when almost all forms of competitive gaming apart from Fighters take place on PC (home based, I know tournaments clearly can't be hacked).

I remember why I stick with the one or two decent single-player exclusives PS4 might get every 3 years years. I'm certainly not interested in a few months of casually playing flops like CoD or Destiny, lol PSN. At least it has Street Figh....oh wait the top 10 players on that are on PC. LOL!

For arguments sake...let's say I made this thread to pan the PC. I'm guessing you want to act like the harbinger of justice or something. Yet I've never seen you come to the defense of any thread that pans consoles.

Objectively criticizing something that is affecting you is one thing, having a disdain for a particular platform that doesn't share relevant involvement from you and panning it out of spite or because you feel some insecure need to do so is something else.

I'm fine where I am, I see you insecure users repeatedly saying 'this is System Wars' as some kind of misinformed justification for being dumb and acting like fools, and I don't have to accept that.

Let's look at this shall we, no one is talking about the PlayStation 4 so that is moot, no one is talking about the Wii U so that's also quite moot, the only thing anyone seems to be talking about proactively are Xbox One and PC inspired topics.

It's not hard to discern why and where I am posting for the time being due to the lack of interesting or engaging discussion taking place elsewhere.
