Okami HD, Mega Man 11, and Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection Sales Top 1 Million Copies Each

Good news for people who play old, or lower budget games because they realise modern gaming is a FUCKING TRAVESTY, Capcoms regurgitated titles, and Megman II have sold very well, meaning more old games will come out the shit pipe, probably more expensive with DLC attached.

Exciting times.

Okami HD, Mega Man 11, and Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection Sales Top 1 Million Copies Each

Capcom has updated their list of “Platinum Titles”, games that have sold over a million copies, with some new recent additions.

Their list now includes Okami HD, Mega Man 11, and Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, as of September 30th of this year. Monster Hunter World: Iceborne was also added to the list.

All three games are now available for Windows PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is currently available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with its PC release set for January 9th, 2020.

Classics are classics, man. Okami deserves to be played by all gamers, old and new.

Very nice. I loved Okami when it first came out and still love it today so I picked up the HD version for the Xbox One. I double dipped on the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection and got both the Xbox One and Switch versions. Same thing with both Mega Man collections. I still need to get Mega Man 11 though. I did enjoy the demo of it.

I just beat Okami for the first time two weeks ago.

Megaman 11, highly celebrated reboot, is still highly inferior to Megaman 8, a game that sold more but was targeted by critics probably because it didn't touch a nintendo console.

Still a good game. Just came in here to say that.

In total, Okami has sold 2.8 million units across all platforms. Which is an impressive comeback for a game that was a commercial failure upon release.

Also, I just found out Monster Hunter World has sold over 14 million. It has surpassed FFVII to become the best-selling Japanese RPG not named Pokemon.

Megaman 11 had it's problems (mainly dull music and an overabundance of cheap instant death traps) but it still captured a good but of the glory of many of the previous titles. Hope this paves the way for more Megaman X games or even better, Megaman Zero style ones.

I would think good sales of Megaman 11 would inspire capcom to give us an amazing Megaman X sequel, instead we get a trashy mobile game...

Does Okami HD includes the PS3, wii and xbox 360 ver? If it does damn that is sad. Deserved so much love this game is the best 3d zelda game of the gen. Even got IGN 2006 game of the year.

@zmanbarzel: I just tagged the 360 because I am unsure, have no idea if it actually released there or not. All of em is just remastering from the PS2 game so I just assumed all is HD ver.

Good for Capcom. I don’t really care for those no effort/low budget old ports, but apparently a million people do and made Capcom a nice profit.

The 1 million number for Okami HD only includes the PS4, Xbox One and Switch. It doesn't include any other versions. In total, Okami has sold 2.8 million across all platforms. It took a long time, but Okami has finally become the commercial success it has always deserved to be.
