Man this is such a stupid sticky. Don't abuse mod powers.

Relax man. This is the most efficient way to deal with 6 threads that say the same thing. Besides this is practice for the future. Charizaard used to do this stuff and I need practice.

I'm kind of glad actually that all of the junk will be moved to this one thread. It will (hopefully) make the continual naysaying and navel-gazing easier to avoid.

Can we really contain all the hate Nintendo deserves in one single thread?

None of it really bothers me. I read the last thread that inspired this sticky and TC was pissed. My first Nintendo console was the Wii. I grew up with Sega, so I don't have this attachment to Nintendo. I'd love to see them push the other two but it just doesn't seem likely. They want to live in make believe business land where they aren't competing for consumers dollars. When Sega wrapped up I wasn't emotional about it. If MS leave I wont get emotional about it. Its business.

@cainetao11: They arent competing, Nintendo makes games that caters to young boys+girls, teens, and adults. Sony and then cater to adult men only. They want Nintendo to cater to adult men too. Its never gonna happen.

B games? mario party, mario sports,yoshi wooly poochie

everything else was basically dlc...

that pretty good for the 5 months of life 3ds has left....

obviously they are changing focus to NX.

as for nintendo going out of business.....zelda will sell millions and so will the main mario game, mario kart, smash, splatoon 2...plus whatever else they cook up...

3rd party might be there if its a handheld hybrid.

no way nintendo can go broke unless nx sells worse than wiiu which is impossible given nintendo undefeated handheld record.

I dont understand why you guys locking threads one after the other when it comes to NINTENDO criticism. I mean , i understand some of you are diehard fans but if you locking NINTENDO threads just because some people questioning NINTENDO subjectively with legit reasons to , then you should do the same for all other threads that questioning SONY or MS.

So lets make 3 DOOM threads for all 3 console manufacturers and delete everything else in System wars because with one way or another people criticizing/trolling platforms/games.

I wonder when the time comes and people criticize SONY or MS extensively like they did before numerous times , if youll end up lock everything or if this is a NINTENDO thing only.

Nintendo is stupid for not supporting the Wii U any longer and not giving any info on the NX. I mean what the **** man? Only their real hardcore sheep followers will defend it and see it as a good thing. So bad, so bad...

@Kruiz_Bathory: Wii U is done, after Paper Mario and Zelda, its over. Nintendo poor anymore money then they already have would be foolish. We decided long ago we wanted NX. Hell, we were ready for NX in 2015. Go look at threads. People were upset NX didnt come 2015.

I'm just trying to keep the forum relatively clean. We got all these threads that say the same thing. Makes sense to put it all in one spot for now.

For example i have the same opinion more or less with @FreedomFreeLife on Wii U matter. His thread is locked for trolling or hating while there are valid points in there. I didnt read the others but i dont see the problem.

Also some threads having totally other topic for further discussion.

Actually i found this sticky way more trollish than the actual locked threads. I mean what is this poll about ? A guy questioned Nintendo about how they treated Wii U users up till now with examples for everyone to discuss . How is this the same as if Nintendo is "doomed" x4 ...

Which one? The one where he goes after the Nintendo fans? You know that one is against the rules. As for the second one, it was fine, but the message in the following posts pretty much matched up with this. It wasn't really a knock on his thread, but a matter of convenience for the users since they were pretty much saying the same thing.

I will never understand this need to trumpet doom for Nintendo but it does provide an endless stream of hilarity for me.

In my opinion, the weakest part of the direct was the Pikmin announcement. I would much rather have a sequel than a little side project, but until I see more from the game there's no reason to cry foul.

I'm just sad I have to wait until 2017 for DQ8.

But that's the point of system wars.

I think i'm the only person on earth that thinks as long as nintendo can make a profit and pump out their first party titles and some of the sweet rpgs and other games we've been getting...I don't give a shit about the sales. I like Nintendo for who they are.

Nintendo Doom!

Doom (2016) on an nVidia-powered-NX would be great. Some bonus levels with famous Nintendo characters would be appreciated. They would have fast stomp attacks for massive damage, and are never defeated - they just reward you for your effort with gazillions of coins!

We need some spectacular cheese to go along with all this whine.

I don't care what you claim about their target groups. They are competing for consumer money. There are family friendly content on both X1 and PS4. We don't play them or hype them but they exist and if dad can satisfy both little Joey and himself with one purchase it isn't going to be Nintendo 90% of the time. They want to make more money? They need to address that or accept being a second system with small sales projections.

@cainetao11: Im talking Sony and Microsoft. Games they have made this gen catered to adult men. Nintendo makes games for young kids who cant read, boys, girls, teens, and adults. They makes games for everyone. People hate this, they want Nintendo to make games for adults only.

Sadly I think they've accepted being a secondary system a while ago. I think being the secondary might be their actual goal at this point. I think they stopped competing to be a leader in the console wars back in 2001 when the GCN didn't sell.

Their goal since the gamecube is to differentiate from the competition, and selling a lot of units by having a lower cost of entry. They failed on both accounts with Wii U, well the hardware is different but not in a good way. Someone's purchase being a side console is just a secondary effect.

They want to be the leader still, they were with the Wii. They'd love to get games like witcher 3 in addition to unique games, but they dropped out of the arms race.

@Chozofication: Even with the all mighty Wii, we barely got big good third party games. Wii never got GTA, Metal Gear, or Red Dead Redemption. It never got Final Fantasy, Resident Evil 5, or DMC, Tomb Raider, etc.

Only thing for Nintendo to do is build a super powerful machine and pray third party and fans will buy in.

It honestly didn't need to. What it should've done though is have just enough extra power to be able to run games with the same details or better (better being a side effect of DX9 esque hardware) at 720p, and had a new standard controller with all the buttons that the dualshock had. Say hey, yeah we've got this awesome new controller, but that doesn't mean we're throwing standard controls out the window.

With that and the lower cost of making games in comparison to the twins, it could've got huge 3rd party exclusive support.

@Chozofication: Yeah, i think had they released the Wii U a few years earlier, they would have had a more successful launch.

I dont see whats wrong with showing a bunch of cool looking 3DS games.

And as long as the games stay good, im fine with franchises being milked.

A lot of the people who post here aren't really gamers; they're fanboys, trolls and casuals. Most only play hyped bro games and don't know what's good.

I don't think any company should get special protection in SW.

There have been tons of _______ (insert console company) doom threads in the past (especially after shows).

I'm against thread redundancy, but if there is individual news per thread (one thread is about Wii U, one is about 3DS, etc), it's fine.

@SolidTy: I'm pretty sure there's a mod who "protects" Microsoft by locking most negative threads about them, but I'm not gonna name any names.

I think this is a good move, and there should be one for each system. The sheer amount of idiocy is turning people away from here, going by some of the comments I've been reading lately. I say let the lowest common denominators act as dumb as they want, away from the public. I also know that in the past, you could have said System Wars was for that, but now this board is the only active one on the whole site. The rest of the board should be for decent folks imho.
